Mikki seems a hard worker and a great, down-to-earth guy. He has a lot of energy and passionand is nice to root for. I wish him nothing but the best, and I'm very happy for him that he parlayed his opportunity into a nice contract. But, in light of the NBA's salary cap restrictions, it isn't realistic to afford him. To be honest, my happiness for his success and his rewards outweighs my wish that he could play for the Nets at a much lower salary. If this was baseball, and there was no salary capand my team didn't have any internally imposedmonetary restrictions, then my answer would be different.</p> Mikki deserves a standing ovation when he next plays at the meadowlands, and I hope he gets one.</p>
