<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bobac74:</div><div class="quote_post">I heard the Raptors are seriouly interested in Z and D Miles. Did you hear this. They've been looking for a center for a while and Z would fit good. I heard the Cavs would get Morris Peterson, Milt Palcio, and Jerome Mosio in the trade. What do you think?</div>

One word sums up that deal...

    Terrible

Why is that so bad? Morris Peterson is about Equal to DMiles if not playing better. Mo-Pete is way more concitent, and would fit better in with the Cavs then Miles. Also Mo-Pete can hit a jump shot unlike Miles. Also Milt Palcio is a good backup PG or SG, he could take the minutes when Lebron is out. Jerome Mosio is a very talented player, and is 6ft 11inch. Cavs wanted his very badly this offseason, but the Raps stole him from them. The Cavs thought he would really help that at the PF-C position. You are just giving up Z and Miles. Miles plays 20minutes a game, Z plays 25.

Also Battie and Boozer got the Center position in control, and Mo-Pete, Ira Newble, Erick Williams, and Kedrick Brown have really got the SF-SG under control. Why is this such a bad Trade? The Cavs get a lot of dept, and with Wagner coming back, and Diop there team will be better than ever.

Boozer and Battie are natural PF's, Battie at times can play the center depening on who is on the other side. Diop is our center of the future, believe that.

We have our backup point guard, his name is Kevin Ollie and he is a 4th quarter man for us. No need for former Cavalier Palacio here.

    Moiso, no comment, ha.

The only things I will give Peterson credit over Miles is the long range and FT%, but that is where it ends. Miles has much more potential, can rebound, pass, and block shots. You just don't get that type of all around play from Mo-Pete. Miles is also an impact player, at times you can see him play like an all star, that is why many people are frustrated with him because they are impatient.

Kid is only 22, I can wait on him or I can like what I get in return, Peterson would not make me happy.

Ilgauskas in this deal too? That is absolutely hysterical, this would be the rip off deal of the century, you can't trade garbage for 2 of the teams best players, one of them an all star, the other a potential future all star.

    That's just my opinion.

Mine too...Even if the deal was Peterson, Moiso and Palacio for Miles by himself - I still wouldn't do it. That cannot be a real rumor, if it is, somebody must have been half-baked... [IMG]

    Darius Miles A Knick?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yet another fact-finder reveals Thomas, indeed, attempted to redirect Norris to the Cavaliers for devalued Darius Miles, who recently was deleted from Paul Silas' present and future game plan. In the young point guard market for months (a lot of plays have been made for Jamaal Tinsley and Earl Watson), the Cavs countered by asking for Frank Williams and Othella Harrington. Thomas was equally unsuccessful pitching Ward for Miles.

Don't misunderstand; just because Cleveland showed no interest dealing Miles for him, don't think Ward is unwanted. Because of his $2M buyout clause and ability to hit big shots in big games, numerous teams, including the Spurs, Pistons and Blazers (who may be inclined to swap Damon Stoudamire for Howard Eisley and Ward, or maybe not) have made inquiries

Last time I checked, the Suns had some guys that could stink up the joint just as well as Darius. Speaking of which, when is Tom Gugliotta going to be put out of his misery?...It's the humane thing to do...
