Or perhaps its you, not them. You just might not be a real American. Be a patriot instead of a keyboard warrior. Idiot!

Anti war left during the Bush administration. Daring of the left. Occupied New Orleans, LOL.

She clearly speaks for everyone who was anti-war, right?

Maureen Dowd of the New York Times claims that Sheehan's "moral authority" on the war is "absolute." This is obtuse. Sheehan's diatribes against George Bush -- "lying bastard"; "filth-spewer and warmonger"; "biggest terrorist in the world" -- have no more moral standing than Joseph Kennedy's vilification of Franklin Roosevelt. And if Sheehan speaks with absolute moral authority, then so does Diane Ibbotson -- and the other mothers who have lost sons in Iraq yet continue to support the mission their sons died for and bitterly oppose Sheehan for discrediting it.

The antiwar movement has found itself ill served by endowing absolute moral authority on a political radical who demanded that American troops leave not just Iraq but "occupied New Orleans." Who blames Israel for her son's death. Who complained that the news media went "100 percent rita" -- "a little wind and a little rain" -- rather than covering other things in the world, meaning her.

I didn't realize that Sheehan was armed, took over Bush's ranch, drove around in his cars, dug random holes, threw trash everywhere and vandalized the place.

You don't realize a lot of things.

She camped out in Crawford, Texas. She stalked the president.

So continue to bloviate, as I said.

Camping 3 miles away from the president's ranch while he's there on vacation is not the same as what the dipshits in Burns are doing and it's not stalking.

Take over federal land with guns and then get mad when they won't just let you leave without prosecution. If this is civil disobedience like many claim, than they should not only expect, but welcome their arrest because of what it will represent to their cause. But they know that nobody gives a shit about them or their cause, or at least few give enough of a shit to rise up with them. So the realization that they are going to jail without accomplishing anything they set out to accomplish has got to be infuriating.

Sly, keep those vids coming. Very interesting from a reality TV sort of way.

Hundreds of the guys who occupied the government post went home on their own and without persecution.

Earlier, yes. But these ones stayed and at least in their minds (as per their videos) they expect arrest and prosecution at a minimum.

Not sure this information has been reported to the general public?

I was listening to an Indian tribal radio station based in Idaho. (One of the few stations I can get at my remote Idaho cave). This is not the same tribe that complained about the militants digging up artifacts. The Idaho tribe was broadcasting a special report on the Militants take over of the refuge headquarters. It appeared to be a very balanced report, something that has been missing from this agenda driven drama event, from both sides.

The militants had contacted the tribes to discuss the artifacts they found. According to this Indian radio report, the militants where very concerned about the artifacts they found and wanted to let the tribe know what they found, and where.

The militants found boxes of Indian artifacts at the refuge lying around the headquarters building. Some of the boxes had dates going back to the 1980’s.

The report asked this question. Why was the government holding these artifacts for so long, and not turning them over to the tribes?

No I am not Indian; I belong to the paler nation. I am just amazed that the most balanced non-agenda reporting I have heard on the militants topic was coming from a tribe. I did not hear the entire report, but wish I had. I may have missed some additional information about the artifacts found or other militant topics.

I am not taking sides on this issue, nor am I endorsing the militant’s actions. I am just trying to get some truth out.
