Here is the ORS on that.

    Vehicle(s) Subject to Impound.

    1. Notwithstanding subsection (A) of this section, whenever a motor vehicle is being operated by a person whose operator’s license or driving privilege is suspended, canceled, or revoked and a traffic citation is issued or a physical arrest made for any violation of the Oregon Vehicle Code, or the driver of the motor vehicle is without proof of liability insurance as required by the Oregon Vehicle Code, the motor vehicle is subject to immediate tow by a licensed towing company.
You're vehicle being impounded is very expensive, seems odd that you didn't mention that yours was.

You jumped the tracks again Sly. Or are you just hijacking the subject? The subject I raised was about how you act when stopped as did Bodyman.

No my vehicle was not towed.

I was agreeing with you, your appearance did effect the stop. You appeared white so the officer didn't follow the law.

This won't even be a worry in the future. The cop will be in an armored car, he'll send the robot with 2 arms to the vehicle. One will be held out for the driver to give license and registration. The other will have C4 in it, if the driver doesn't give the robot the documents in 30 seconds or less....boom.

Ha! Actually I had six different stubs as proof of insurance. Five were out of date and one was current. The asshole wouldn't help me read which was the correct one.
So she gave me the ticket which then made it mandatory to go to court. The towing is optional as you can tell, "subject to" not must be towed.

She was a liberal chic and I a dirty old white man in a dirty old pickup truck. Might be a notch up to be black.
To say nothing that the stop was for the seat belt that I had on for crap sake.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Liberal chic? Is that a new fashion style? Sounds cool.

Yes, it's generally better to be black in America. They're the elite ruling class.

But here is the deal, all insurance companies upload current insurance information to the DMV. When the cops run the plate they instantly know if the registration on the vehicle is current, valid, and whose name it's in. They also know if the vehicle has insurance. In Oregon it's the vehicle that must be insured, not the driver. If you lend your truck to a neighbor and he gets pulled over he has to show proof that the truck is insured, not that he is insured to drive your truck. Anyway, the police already know if the car has valid registration and insurance when they run the plate. Not having paper to support that is BS. The officer knew your vehicle was insured in your name once they ran the plate and saw your drivers license. Yet they still wrote you a ticket.

Here in Portland the police have automatic plate readers, they are immediately notified if your car doesn't have a valid registration or insurance. They don't need pieces of paper.

In other words this traffic stop you're so proud of resulted in the officer issuing you a ticket that while was technically correct was complete BS. You were given a ticket for not having proof of insurance, not for not having insurance. She knew you had insurance when she issued the ticket.

I am not sure how that is hijacking the subject. This is what the entire thing is about. A white person has a much better chance of being alive and healthy after a random traffic stop. This is something that has become quite apparent recently. Protests (which is a right that is as strong as the right carry a weapon) can and should happen anywhere, as this is a systemic thing. There is a disparity between races that covers all 50 states.

Four surgeons sit around discussing their favorite patients.

The first surgeon says, "I like operating on librarians. When you open them up, everything is in alphabetical order".

The second surgeon says, "I like operating on accountants. When you open them up, everything is in numerical order".

The third surgeon says, "I like operating on electricians. When you open them up, everything is color coded."

The fourth surgeon says, "I like operating on politicians."

The other three surgeons look at each other in disbelief.

The fourth surgeon continues, "Because they're heartless, gutless, spineless, and the ass and head are interchangeable."

Ah! now we are cutting to the meat! There does seem to be a problem and the reason sure should be understood. I doubt it can be just flat out stated it is color.
More likely there is another cause here, like I really don't think cops like to shoot black people, but what is it that gets some shot? Got any ideas?

The thing I threw out there to begin with was the Black guy that said (interview somewhere) that he didn't like having to act subservient around the police.

Then there was Bodyman giving his how to act. I gave a how to act post. ( not the vehicle towed shit, that was defection)

    What up here?

Maybe one should not be expected to act subservient to a publicly paid officer. That is the worst part about this though, even when a black person acts subservient towards an officer they still get killed. If you can't understand this I really don't have anything to share with you.

I think you already close your mind. Yes I am sure if I understood more, things would be fine.
