It's an interesting state in the NBA where teams have too many bigs...

But not very many traditional centers.

Crabbe played well enough in Summer league to keep on the team. Even though he hasn't reached his potential, he is still the best 3-D wing we have.

I do not care one way or another if we grab Bennett.

We are talking about the 15th roster spot. If Olshey and the coaches believe he is the best option for that spot, fine. If not, good luck Bennett, hope you turn your career around and help some team.

Remember when we had a major deal cooking with Minnesota this summer? Since they negotiated a buyout that means he wanted out. What if he had asked for a trade to us to play for Triano, and the two sides were at a stalemate. Now he requests a buyout and comes to Portland as a FA?

Who the hell is Jeff Goodman? He's the only person saying he's going to sign with Toronto.

It could be Bennett's agent trying to drive up his value.

He's smart if he signed with toronto. More opportunity imo. I think we are pot committed with Leonard, vonleh and Davis at pf

It just seems like everyone is just repeating what that one reporter tweeted.

Toronto has one roster spot left and can only offer a minimum deal.

Passed on claiming him off waivers. Not signing him outright.

Minny waived him because that first pick contract is ridiculous for his current talent level. Not a chance anybody was going to claim him off of waivers. I think we have a strong chance of landing him. He could end up going to a more promising team, but I think it would be a huge career mistake, possibly career suicide. He needs to go somewhere where he can trust that his best interests are the teams as well. I heard Toronto, makes sense because he's from Canada, that's the only reason it makes sense though. However I think there is a decent chance that he ends up buried on the bench no matter where he goes, so there's that.

He must be really desperate to play in Toronto because a minimum contract is nothing.
