TAMPA, Fla. – The PDL's Central Conference has been the domain of a handful of sides in the past few seasons, with Thunder Bay emerging last season from a tough conference championship weekend against 2012 champion FC London and perennial contender the Michigan Bucks. With a new season comes new alignment, however, and potential new challengers for the playoff positions.

TAMPA, Fla. – The Austin Aztex became the first Southern Conference side to claim the PDL Championship since the Laredo Heat in 2007 last season. The defending champions will have some adjustments to make after the departure of PDL Coach of the Year Paul Dalglish to Real Salt Lake and league MVP Kris Tyrpak to Chivas USA, and the competition will be hot on their heels looking to grab their conference title.

PDL+ Extends Calendar for Leading National U23 Men’s League
New fall season offers additional high-quality programming for elite pro prospects

TAMPA, Fla. – The PDL, the most established and respected national U23 men’s league, is pleased to announce the launch of a fall season - PDL+ - commencing in 2015. Designed to supplement the primary PDL summer season, PDL+ will provide existing league members an expanded competition window into late autumn of each year.

“The PDL and its member clubs have been the undisputed leaders in the development of American soccer at the pre-professional level over the past two decades by providing a bridge from the youth, college and amateur levels to professional leagues such as USL PRO and Major League Soccer,” USL President Tim Holt said. “In order to continue to serve the needs of aspiring professional players and add value for our PDL clubs amidst the constantly evolving soccer landscape, it is critical to offer new and exciting programs like PDL+ that are aligned with the future direction of the sport and domestic player development.”
