Oh please, Too much detail. I can't take it. You don't have to use so many medical terms in Latin.

When I wanted to stay home sick, the teacher wanted a non-vague note that said more than that I didn't feel good.

The real reason, folks, is that Oden is far more sensitive to pain than most people. The bone has healed but he still feels too much pain when he plays. I've posted this authoritative answer to all your questions before, so when will you all remember this?

Is it bad of me to point out that he got injured last time without taking a hit, and hasn't seen the court for two years since that non-contact injury? Of course, he also got injured taking a hit on the knee, too, so maybe that's a good or bad thing. :)

I was thinking something like a grade 2 MCL sprain, which is a significant tear of the ligament but not a complete tear and often fully heals on its own. Maybe the Blazers are not releasing more information because the MRI isn't exactly clear on what the problem is. An MRI is not a perfect image of every minute detail of the knee; an MRI only gives some images which can be unclear. So maybe the doctor saw something to be concerned about but it was very inconclusive findings, an area to monitor before Oden is cleared for contact practice but nothing that has any chance of being operated on at the moment.

Or maybe Oden doesn't want more medical information released. Maybe he's a bit of a recluse after hearing constant criticism and trolls beating him down.

Remember when LaMarcus didn't participate in team USA and all the fans were up in arms? Turns out his mom had cancer. I'm not at all saying Oden is in a similar situation; but I am saying we don't know all the detail of the setback and why there is limited information. There could be totally acceptable reasons to not elaborate on the details; reasons that none of us are considering.

It will "heal" on its own, but it's scar tissue, and still is prone to tearing later in life. I know, because I have this.
