I feel like Curt Flood. I started to question Roy and was, literally, hung in effigy. Now, the better posters are starting to come around to the plain facts.

Thing is, this same exact topic has been bandied about for the last few seasons. This leopard ain't changing its spots.

As the Bible reminds us, there's nothing new under the sun.

No offense, best friend, but that's a cheap response. How many times during a timeout and either with the mic in the huddle or as immediately reported by the sideline gal did Nate tell his team to push the ball. Literally, dozens of times. And whenever the ball ended up in Roy's hands he slowly walked up court- and many of those times Nate was hoping up and down saying things like 'go' or 'run'. Never once did Roy get going. I watched those games very closely. If yoiu want to joke around, then fine. But now you're calling me a liar and trying to make me look stupid- when you know I'm right.

That's not cool, or called for. I'm disappointed.

Perhaps, but I think that's a far, far cry from "profoundly disagree."

    You wuss.

    welcome to the board midnight_show

no one thinks Miller is the future at PG... dude isn't young. But the present sure seems pretty rosy with AM (21.0 PER thus far) and Roy starting in the backcourt. They've done that 43 times now winning 29 times (or 67% of their games). They've accumulated this excellent winning percentage despite having subpar talents like Martell and Juwan starting with them for much of that period. I can't think of another Blazer backcourt since Clyde and Porter that I'd even consider having over them. Projecting forward, I can't wait to see Andre and Greg together as I think they'll elevate the team from very good to great.

You will find this board is made up of about 25% serious posters with real desire to debate and the rest range from generic trolls to "meh". Stick around for a while and see if you like it. One good feature is that you can put people on "ignore". I have several people I "ignore" so I don't even see their posts- it makes life more bearable.

    Welcome to the forum.

Dre averages just under seven shots per game. I don't want to do the research, but I'd bet there aren't many (if any) other starting PG's that take less than 7 attempts per game. If a PG never shoots the ball, defenses will play off him and plug the passing lanes.

He has taken 18 shots one time this season.

Dre is the best point we've had since Rod Strickland. I really don't understand why people bash him so much. As STOMP pointed out, Dre is not the future, but he IS the present, and he's doing a pretty good job so far.

Bayness is not now, and never will be a starting PG, imo.

    Go Blazers

The only time I see Miller shoot too much is when our offense is stagnant, we can't get anyone going, and he takes it upon himself to try to get us some buckets.

If the rest of the team would just crash the basket like OKC does when he goes into that mode they would get lots of easy baskets.

Regardless, I think the other four guys should be allowed to punch him squarely in the nuts after he shoots a three.
