Actually not a bad site. It's got traffic flow in four directions.

The logistics for building it are good. This is why T2 was such a good site. They would use the river for moving the materials. You have to be able to get to and from the Vancouver fabrication yards. Trying to build this at the Lloyd Center spot is a total nightmare.

t2 could be a real infrastructure challenge with railroad along there and ways for traffic getting in and out the area.

    Barge.
Most of the major pieces float up the river.
Same thing that was done for the Sellwood Bridge. It's actually the easiest and most efficient way. The best part is you don't have to yard the materials on site. They pick the pieces in order and they can stay on the barge as needed. They even dress all the iron right on the barge. Rail only makes it easier if you have something coming from distance. On top of that It allows for Light Rail to be put in place very quickly as well as parking shuttles.
405 dumps right off there and you can go North or South from the site. Quick connections to both I5 and 26 not to mention hwy 30. There was also talk of adding a Pedestrian and Bike bridge across the Willamette River to access the area from the east.
Terminal Two has been a slam dunk from a logistical standpoint for a long time. Cars can go to Kelly Point. No need for off loading cars there.
Biggest Problem is getting the city behind putting it there.

They need to not dink around, if the city isn't on board they need to go south or southeast into different county.

That seems to be the consensus with all the contractors involved. Everyone spent a bunch of time and money coming up with ways to do it and they even created bids for what it would take. A private planning commission was created and funded.
Since the riots nothing. It all simply stopped.
Most feel there is no way Portland can fix their reputation and problems fast enough to get a team.
The city let the homeless and a few hundred people who wanted to break windows for three months take away any hope of ever getting this to happen.

Yeah and now it looks like the next decade the Blazers will suck also. Traded places with the Kings.

This indeed could be the Third Strike and were out, of ever getting a MLB club. It's really wild that this city though out the years have never seriously wanted a NHL Hockey, MLB, NFL teams enough too get it dome.

I think it's already at the bottom of the 9th, down 13-1, 2 out, bases empty and the count is 0-2....and Mariano Rivera is pitching...

I didn't know that's where KEX has their tower.

That is a weird location. It is close to 205, 224 and 82nd/213, but there's also a lot of neighborhoods there. Well, apartment complexes.

The bad thing is, about our area, there just isn't a lot of undeveloped or underdeveloped areas ripe for the picking. The urban grown boundary creates a lot of issues, but also just the lack of big areas where there is swaths of nothing.

It's a shame there is no way to use Ross Island somehow.
