I'm thinking something like a glass bottom boat somehow working?

I said North - some said East. I think NE is a good in between! (literally)

My guess is, IF it's real, they kept MLB up to date and MLB kept them up to date on their chances. I.e., don't buy property because your chances are slim, etc.

kinda looks like, if this is the site, they could have it facing the river. But the views from there would basically be the Ross Island Bridge or Tillikum.

Tillikum bridge would make a nice background, IMO. And if you had CF oriented directly towards the bridge, I think you can have it where RF HRs could go out in to the Willamette ala SF, if so desired.

To add, will also be facing across the river to the OMSI area, which is supposed to get built up over these next 10 years, could be a nice backdrop of a built up near east side as well.

That's right! I was looking at the map, and saw the two colors, and just thought two different street cars, but you're right, that would be super beneficial connecting Milwaukie and that area to the stadium.

That would be so dope if the bridge ran THRU the outfield!!!! I would actually watch baseball if this happens. All 237 games or whatever it is.

In all reality, if they do completely reconfigure the access roads to that area, would it be too much for them to replace the Ross Island? Maybe have it connect directly to that I-5/405 junction and come across the north end of the stadium site?

Look, I’d absolutely love baseball in Portland. It would be awesome! It’s been my dream since I was a kid.

    But,

A.) I think Diamond Project are posers

B.) I don’t think the local politicians even want it, or would prioritize it. They’re too busy wasting money on other shit.

But I do think if it ever came to be that the city would get behind it big time and it would be a major draw

They should just put it in Vancouver. Replace the little airport just across the bridge. Tons of land.

Sounds like they would make that into the main offices/practice facility type thing, and put youth baseball fields there.
