A Heredia, Trout, Haniger outfield would be insta-erection. Add that with the Healy, Gordon, Segura, and Seager infield. Move Cano to DH.

But then again... I would miss Nelly at DH.

Sweaters so overpaid.. I'd honestly try to attach prospects to Seager's contract and use the savings to upgrade 3rd Base or our rotation.

Hell, with that lineup, move Cano to Tacoma and we're still awesome...

Seager is an upper level AL 3rd basemen. He’s having a down year but he has definitely earned his spot, he for awhile was our only bright spot other than Felix and Cano.

I wonder how much money the M’s would have to eat if we found a partner to trade Cano to.

I'd probably bat them in this order:
    Gordon
    Segura
    Trout
    Haniger
    Cano
    Heredia
    Healy
    Seager
    Zunino

I’d probably bat Heredia at 8th

Seager is upper level? According to what?

"He for awhile was..." exactly... He no longer is.

$19M for a guy who can't hit the ball the other way, and has hit over .270 only once. Less than .600 BA+OBP the past two years...

That's just not good, and he's way too streaky to be producing that poorly.

I like setting up Healy with someone who could get on base. Heredia could keep an inning going behind the sluggers, or start of the 2nd getting on base for a couple other power guys in Healy and Seager.

He’s a good defender though, and is clutch.

winning....it's always the game changer...with the Mariners it's how they're winning that impresses me....team ball all the way on both sides...surprising pitching stability

Makes me shudder thinking about the Jack Z days. Good god he was one of the worst. The cano signing at the end doesnt save him.

Yeah, that would be a pickle. Gotta have Cruz in there. I'd put Gordon back out in the outfield and have Cano back at 2nd. Heredia is a good 4th outfielder.

Then you got Gamel. lol. wtf. It's a good problem to have, though.

    Same.

    Gordon
    Segura
    Cano
    Cruz
    Haniger
    Seager
    Healy
    Heredia
    Zunino

Good god that 1-6 is sick by itself, Add trout? I'd probably have to say bye bye to Healy

    Gordon
    Segura
    Cano
    Trout
    Haniger
    Cruz
    Seager
    Heredia
    Zunino

How the fuck do you get through that lineup save the last two?

I mean, we'd need to find a 1b I suppose. Can cano play that and Gordon go to 2nd, Trout in CF?

In 2020, though, we may need to worry about pitching. We'll have Paxson and... I love the way these guys are pitching NOW, but I'd love to see a full year of it before I say we have a rotation, too.
