    ESCO isn't smack dab in the middle of the industrial area, it's on the edge of it, on the city side. And for history, I believe it is the site of the old Vaughn Street ballpark that was the predecessor of Civic Stadium.

    I don't believe an MLB stadium is allowed to be situated that way. It has something to do with the sun being in the batters eyes I think. I think it has to point towards Mt Hood. Maybe I am wrong, anyone got info on that?

    That area had a stadium before. It was called the Vaughn St. Stadium. I use to roam around in it when I was a kid. Of course, it was abandoned by then due to the new Multnomah Stadium.

    If it is truly only going to cost $150M, I am all for it. The area near the school would take away my parking spot though. Would have to figure something else out for Blazer and Moda Center events.

    I still think the site of the old Multnomah Kennel Club would have been a decent spot. That’s where the Grande Ronde tribe proposed building one (in exchange for a Portland area casino). But I believe that horse is out of the gate......
