Ramon Nunez impressed for FC Dallas as he scored both goals in a dominant first half for FCD. The first goal was in the fourth minute when the ball went right through goalkeeper Corey Whisenhunt’s hands on a play the goalkeeper would want to have back. MLS wants all its clubs either fielding reserve teams in USL PRO or affiliating with one by 2015 KANSAS CITY, Kan. *– Major League Soccer is taking an even bigger step toward the Spanish and German model of player development, with reserve teams in the lower rungs of the U.S. Soccer pyramid as soon as 2015. So said MLS executive vice president of player relations & competition Todd Durbin in a sit-down with reporters shortly before Wednesday’s All-Star Game at Sporting Park. The league is looking to move even further away from the Reserve League model and is encouraging more teams to affiliate with USL PRO clubs. Orlando Defeats Seattle Sounders Reserves in Front of Record Crowd of 10,697 ORLANDO, Fla.— Orlando City SC defeated the visiting Seattle Sounders Reserves 2-0 on Sunday, August 11, in front of 10,697 fans, marking a regular season attendance record at Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
