A lot of moving and shaking in the rankings last night.

Kenny Florian is officially a top-ten lightweight.

Brock Lesnar moves up in the heavyweight rankings with Randy Couture's stock taking a hit. Might be Randy's last heavyweight sojourn.

Demian Maia enters the rankings at middleweight, knocking Thales Leites out of the top-ten.

If Frank Mir does indeed beat Nog, do you then have to move him in front of Lesnar? He did beat Lesnar, earlier this year, and then the number 2 rated heavyweight in the world. I don't see him beating Nogeura, but it is a fight and you just never know.

I don't know what to make of Mir. His resume sucks. Regardless, a win over Nogueira has to put him in the top ten.

Wow, has the WEC ever cleaned up in the 135 and 145 divisions. I totally agree with that though as I've found most times the Japanese fighters are overated because they've been beating up on other Japanese competition and when they do come to the U.S. they don't look nearly as impressive. Yes there are exceptions but it's held true too many times.

    At 145 Lbs:
I would consider putting Lenorad Garcia of Fabiano, but I don't think there's that much difference between them.

    at 155 Lbs:
I'd move Sherk of JZ easily.. I see JZ as being very similar to Sherk, only not as good.
I think if Nate Diaz wins vs Clay Guida, he has to be put on that list. I think he can hang with most guys at 155 not named, Aoki, Penn or Sherk.
If Gomi keeps getting fed cans in WVR, he has to drop because others are facing legit talents and winning.
Does Gray Maynard come into consideration with a big win? He just beat Frankie Edgar who woulda been top 10 had he won.

    at 170 lbs;
looks great to me, I'm thinking Hazlett is one solid win away from consideration.
If Paul Daley does make the move to the UFC, he's 1-2 good wins away from the list too.

    at 185 Lbs:
I'd like to see Kazuo Misaki on that list, but I think he needs to get some good fights in over the next year.
If Chael Sonnen can get a win or two in the UFC, he deserves to replay Fihlo.

    at 205 Lbs:
with so many great fighters facing each other in the UFC, this is a volatile list IMO.
With the great depth of talent in the division, I don't think Cane belongs there. He beat an over rated Soko and Jason Lambert who is out of the UFC. He lost to Irvin too.
I think Thiago should be ahead of Jardine too
replacing Cane should be... hell it's really a tough call. Goran Reljic?? naw doesn't sound right. Stephan Bonnar, but now he's beaten sub-par talent of late.
hmm maybe he should be there afterall. Steve Cantwell may earn his way on that list soon though with a couple of wins in the UFC.
Several sights have Little Nog on the list, but who has he faced of late???

    at 265 Lbs:

looks great, but you have to add Gonzaga and Alistair Overeem IMO.
Aleks E. has faced cans and gulp Randy could be DUN. Cro-Cop seems to be 70% Dunnzo too unfortunately.
I'd keep Kharitonov because A: he beat Overeem in 07 and B: he's been somewhat active.

oh and totally agree with p4p list.

IMO If Forrest wins vs Rashard, he should go #6.

    Thanks, changes made.

I think Cane would've beaten Irvin, he just screwed up and got himself DQ'd. It was his first fight in the UFC and he might've reverted back to what he was able to do in Brazil.

What about perhaps having Rich Franklin come in at number 10? We know what what kind of fighter he is from his stint at 185, and his first fight at 205 since going back up, he stopped Matt Hamil which no one has done but him. I think he could be a legit number 10.

yeah I looked at his name on some lists.. 2-1 with a win over ken shamrock at 205 shouldn't propell you in the top 10 IMO. A win over dan henderson... yeah that should do it :D

Good call on Franklin, Valo, but I'm with CF, lets wait and see how he does against Hendo--even though Hendo isn't really a light heavyweight either.

After last night's festivities, and when Speeds gets back from his trip to MMA wonderland, I think we got some people moving up. Rashad Evans is obviously number 1 at LHW after he dropped Forrest Griffin. Dude must have hands made of bricks, vicious bombs to both Chuck and Forrest.

Frank Mir has to be in the top 10 now, I think up near top 5 with his destruction of big Nog. Dude looks like he might have finally turned into the fighter we all expected him to be years ago. Wins over both Brock(I know it was only Brocks first fight, but still) and Big Nog this year, he is doing well this year.

Hey, it's not really supposed to be my job to change these rankings. I want to hear where people think each fighter should go. You tell me.

I assume you're waiting for K-1's NYE event and WVR's Sengoku event on Jan 4th to take place before updating the rankings??

K-1's event should shake up the LW rankings drastically IMO.

I think Urijah Faber still belongs in the top 10 p4p list. Its hard to justify after the way he lost be if he can beat Pulver easily in his next match I think he deserves to be back in it.

Agree with chocolove and I've got an issue with Liddell being ahead of Jardine, and Shogun being ahead of both.
