I agree with mm being smarter than this. He's been overwhelmed with this "personal attack" thing; hampering his normal self. I miss the old MM.

While I appreciate how much you miss me and all that other gay stuff O:) giving an opinion on how players looked even after 1 game isn't dumb. It's just an opinion. And as I said to John, it's not like I think a player will be like this all year. it's ebbing and flowing, damnit

Good point. You are entitled to post your opinions about a player after one game, it just doesn't hold much weight. Do me a favor and after 20 games do a huge breakdown of what you like and don't like. I respect your knowledge of the game, and would love to see what you think after a large sample size of action is there for you to breakdown.

I have seen enough replays from you to now assess that you needed that four year degree :devilwink:

If we have Leonard and Robinson out there together, Leonard should definitely be playing LMA's role of midrange shooter on offense while Robinson plays the Lopez lunch pale role. That clearly worked for them at least on the Leonard monster dunk.

LOL. Since it's one game, and they clearly weren't playing to individually strengths, but to learn the offensive sets and what not.

Given this, I find it odd people really are analyzing individual players.

Agreed. But they had Robinson in there with the first unit for a while for LMA. He was more of a stand-in for LMA. It was pretty clear they weren't trying to play to Robinson's abilities, but to work on the offense as if LMA is in there.

for the record, I think everyone who posted, wants to hear your opinion, but they may also want to argue against it. I want to get the average opinion, because i'm terrible at evaluating nba talent.

Jordan looked good early last season too and this is just preseason. Look up his playoff numbers from last season. He is awful. I'm glad we don't have him. He is garbage.

The more I watch Thomas Robinson the less I'm impressed. We already knew he had absolutely 0 offense and yet it's still ridiculous how rough his game is. I'm not really expecting too much from him, and I certainly don't see him as someone that has huge potential. He's a garbage man for the garbage man.

People don't want to hear it, but if the goal is to be the best team possible this season, keeping Hickson for $5M over Robinson and his $3.5M is easily the better move imo. I don't even see how it's close.

But the Clippers' announcers couldn't stop talking about how he's changed his diet, no more sodium/soft drinks! Plus, they say he's got a great six pack, something he didn't have in years past. So there.

    I appreciate MM's analysis.

Good god this forum will dissect a Canzano article or Blazer off court trouble or the new name of the RG for 3-4 pages in the off season. We finally have a game to talk about and we shouldn't be analyzing the game?

Most posters here are knowledgeable and the fact it is the first pre-season game doesn't even need to be mentioned. Anyone on this board knows it's the Blazers first preseason game and to respond to an analysis that it is the first preseason game . . . well, you are a step behind. I'm guessing MM knew that and is past that and has decided to see what can be taken out of the first game.

Either that or we continue talking about the new food prices or if we like the name Moda Center.

BTW MM-I completely disagree with your analysis. And when I actually get to see a game (this wed) . . . that might have more punch to it.

One game. You can't judge Robinson on one game. Heck, he was just Fan Fest MVP the other night. He also played well in summer league.
