Think McCollum will be fine. He's just behind the rest of the young players in turn of development. Give him another year at least. If he doesn't
turn out, it is just another year's wasted draft pick. Plenty of this for this organization.

Every organization misses on draft picks. Not just Portland. It's a crap shoot.

Yeah, but when we hit, it changes the franchise. Brandon Roy and Damian Lillard are two great examples.

Yes, but the reaction from the fanbase has been interesting, to say the least. Leonard gets clobbered and even booed, while CJ, who is older than Meyers, is seemingly having excuses made for him.

I'm rooting for both of them. Since when did supporting Leonard necessitate ripping on CJ? I think both will eventually become solid NBA players. Message board fans just tend to have way too short of a view in judging draft busts.

True. I basically defend both of them, to some degree, and for different reasons. :)

It seems like most fans think CJ has potential, and that his grade is "incomplete". It seems like most fans think Leonard has no potential, and that his grade is an 'F'.

And then there are those people who hate Meyers because he's so pretty.

I think they are both pretty talented offensively for their position. I'll give CJ an 'incomplete' on his defense, and Meyers has a long ways to go.

Meyers Leonard is so much better than Thabeet, for example, it's not funny. If Leonard's head can ever catch up to the game, he's going to have a decent career. Seven foot tall guys with his athleticism and shooting touch are hard to find.

    Well said. Repped.

It's almost like people would rather be right about Leonard than have him live up to his vast potential.

I agree with this. Both these guys are projects but Leonard is just barely out of high school
