I'd love to play it, but I'm without a PS3. My question to you is do people actually play like it's supposed to be played? What I mean by that is, is there actual squad based strategies in this game, or do people just go off on their own like asshats? I've heard the latter is the more common thing seen in the game, which is what would detract for me.
Yeah depends where it takes you when you join a game, it could be a group who has no clue and doesn't want to work as a team, or a group who are communicating and doing everything together. It's like real war though. lol
Halfway through a n online game this morning, some guy who was accused of being a hacker changed his name to my name (Baracuda74). I don't think it matters because hackers are detected automatically. I was pissed so I just kept giving away his position and throwing my flash grenades at him. Lame, but what else could I have done. Weak!
At least MAG doesn't lag, even with 256 players duking it out at the same time. The maximum number of players in a MW2 match is 18 and I can't even keep up with the number of times it's lagged and all those games ending randomly. It's Zipper Interactive's first ever retail PS3 title released, and a sequel to MAG could have a lot of potential if this one merits enough interest. Sure MW2 has better gameplay, better gun detail, ect. But I personally think Zipper is the future of online gaming. If they could just nail the gameplay next time around, we'll be having something truly masterful if everything goes right. Remember, they're the creators of SOCOM, which basically invented online gaming back in the day for the PS2. These guys truly have some special servers for 256 players.
