The fact Mo's name was discussed means nothing more or less then one side brought it up and it didn't have to go anywhere from there. I'd say it was the Knicks who brought Mo's name up as well as who leaked this info.

    Harkless, #15 and #26 for #8 and O'Quinn.

The only problem I have with #8 this year is that it might be the pick where the quality drops significantly if you don't want a point guard.

Players who will 100% go before #8: Fultz, Ball, Jackson, Tatum, Fox

That leaves Isaac, Smith, Ntilikina, Markkanen and Monk as potential players to go between #6 and #8. The most likely three are Smith, Monk and Isaac in no apparent order. That means there's a very good chance that all the best small forwards (Jackson, Tatum and Isaac) will all be gone by #8 and I'm not that keen on Markkanen to be honest. So you could eventually end up having to either draft Ntilikina (who we don't need) or reach for Zach Collins there. So maybe:

    NYK get: Harkless, #15
    POR get: #10, #34
    SAC get: #8

This way Sacramento can be sure that they can get either Smith or Ntilikina, their point guard of the future, and will be free to get Tatum at #5. That deal actually works for everybody. We are left with #10 (Zach Collins), we can combine #20 and #26 or #20 and #34 for something slightly higher and get three better players than we expected, at the price of Moe Harkless. Let's say Chicago accept #16 for #20 and #34, we draft Justin Jackson at #16 and then get Anigbogu at #26. Perfect draft.

Who at 8? I'd argue Bell, Jackson and Harkless are more valuable than O'Quinn and whoever at 8

If Isaac falls there, it makes sense. If he doesn't, it doesn't make any.

There are some things to like about Isaac but on the flip side, he doesn't have NBA 3-pt range yet, is very thin and I wonder how the asthma thing gets treated as he plays longer minutes against physically tougher competition?

I like Mo, but we have ET, Crabbe, and Aminu who can handle the SF spot fine, if not just as good. He's a decent two-way player, but his salary off the books would keep us out of the LT, or at least close to out of it.

He's the only SF prospect in top 10 who may fall to #8. Tatum and Jackson are not falling there and I don't want to trade up to take a guard. That's why #8 is not so appealing to me, I don't see much value in it because they players we might like who will go above us (Zach Collins is the only one that comes to my mind though) should also be available at #10 or #11 even.

Of all the players named only Harkless has a reasonable salary AND adequate skills. Aside from the obvious, Harkless should be the LAST player we trade - no obtainable draft pick will be better than him any time soon, if ever. And the savings of ~$8M isn't nearly enough to make any sort of difference. We'd be much better off trading Aminu or Ed for a 2nd rounder if we want to cut ~$8M from payroll.
