I imagine there are a few players who have done that over an 11 game stretch though.

Not that that matters. MVP! MVP! MVP!

I do think Dame would have nearly this PER for the season if he got FTs at the rate he's been getting them since not getting picked for the ASG.

Significantly higher than it is, but not in the 30's--he's shooting significantly better from 3 and from the line now than he was previously, and shooting more as well.

He's averaging 6.2 FTA/g on the season, and 8.7 since the ASG. If we assume 1 fewer missed FTA/g due to fouls called on missed shots, and perhaps an additional .5 FTA/g from and-1's previously ignored, then that would provide for a 2.5 FTA/g increase. Assuming conversion at his season averages, that would take his season PER from it's current 23.7 up to around the same 28.3 that Durant and Westbrook are sporting.

Also, over the past 11 games, he's averaged 22.4 FGA/g. If he did that all season instead of the 18.2 he has been, and drawing fouls at his recent rate, but converting at his season averages, his PER would be around 30, and he would be leading the league in scoring.

He has the attention of the league primarily for his consistency and the 30+points over the last 20 games. Our team plays beyond what people expected. I am sure proud of what the 015-016 Blazers have accomplished with Dame taking the leadership role.
