Up here in Seattle I thought we got 6 inches, my wife says 4 inches. There is a joke in there somewhere.
Whelp, time to hook up the generator and fire up the wood stove. 13K people without power down here.....
Lol. Yeah, its not many. Just a pain when you happen to be one of them.... Good time to make up for not camping last summer. Damn. No marshmallows.....
That's the place I tried to get Kingspeed to stay at when he was in town!!! Hey @riverman , do you ever use gopher wood in your stove?
some believe gopher wood came from gofer which was poorly translated in Hebrew from kofer which they said means pitch wood...I'd assume pine tar..the letters g and k are similar in Hebrew...others think it just meant pitched wood for the ark...gofer wood is what they called Noah's ark....thanks wikipedia
I burn more maple than any other wood because I have tons of it on my acreage.....sometimes when wood sucks you can remove the bark and it burns better..it's usually the pitch or bark that makes it suck
Around here it's that wood that as soon as you get the stove stuffed and going good, you have to go fer more....
Not at all. Rained a bunch last night. That's what's so weird- no wind now. No rain. Pow, 3 different zip codes lose power.
I dunno if we'd lose power that often out here, but I've seen chunks of this town out of power a few times in the past year. We've lost power once, and it was back on in 2 minutes (it's great being on the same grid as fire and police).
Pro tip for Salem dwellers........find a house on the same grid as the wastewater treatment plant. You will NEVER lose power, guaranteed..........unless someone cuts loose with an EMP device of course.......
