Nelson said that he likes Powell because he knows the plays and is where he is supposed to be. I think that was a rap on Powell's predecessor Ike Diogu. If Powell can rebound and clog the middle for about 10 - 15 mins, then he would be a great help. But I'm not sure if he can play center if AB goes out. We're stuck with Foyle and I doubt Mullin would buy him out if POB cannot make it back.</div>

It was just a thought. I didn't think Rasho was that bad compared to Foyle.

I had Nazr Mohammed who isn't much better. Really, there are no decent big men available in the NBA we can trade for right now. The free agent list is putrid. If AB gets tired and Josh Powell, Foyle, MP, Barnes and the rest of the bench can't fill in at the PF/C spots, then we will be in trouble and likely be out of the playoffs again.

I just heard back from one of my news sources. He thought Steven Hunter was available from the Philadelphia 76ers. He may not be too bad as we could trade him for some 2nd round picks.

    Steven Hunter
    Philadelphia 76ers
    Position: C-F
    Height: 7-0 Weight: 240
    College : DePaul
    Player file | Team stats
    2006-07 Statistics
    PPG 5.3
    RPG 3.7
    APG .3
    SPG .20
    BPG 1.40
    FG% .630
    FT% .450
    3P% .000
    MPG 18.6

    Salary isn't too bad:
    Steven Hunter
    2006/2007 2007/2008 2008/2009 2009/2010
    $3,024,000 $3,248,000 $3,472,000 $3,696,000

There's Stromile Swift, too, but I'm not sure if West will take on Foyle's contract even though he wants to dump Swift.
