I'd rather skip out on a RB 1st round myself, I think we can grab a quality guy like Hunt, Pittman, or Irons in the 2nd and early 3rd, or Brandon Jackson, and a few others in the 3rd or 4th, along with a wild card in Gary Russel much later.

    :reallysick: ahhhh

How about Brian Leonard or Michael Bush in the 2nd instead? I'm not big on any of the ones you named.

I rather get Lynch though. I think he's going to be special. Lynch with the 1st. Maybe bring in Moss with our 2nd. Look at DE or TE in the 3rd or knowing Ted Thompson we'll have at least two 3rd rounders.

I read it to. Bob Harlan and Ted Thompson said NO to those rumors stating it's "wild speculation"

The reporter who made the report came on a Wisconsin Radio show and stated that he's from Milwaukee and that's how he knows someone. He said that the source has never been wrong and that the statements given by Harlan and Thompson come as no surprise as the Packers need to avoid tampering chargers with the NFL.

Another thing that should get you guys to turn your heads. On the Packer Forum I go to a Raider Fan who claimed to have a friend who has a source high up in the Raider Organization told him that this deal will happen. Here is the catch. He made this post last night!!! He posted before the Boston Herald report came out and before Packer news broke the story.

I trust the guy. He doesn't seem like someone that is going to pull our legs. He's a very reliable person. I've never seen him post something that wasn't true and he rarely buys into rumors. It's definitely not a coincidence that his post and the story from Boston is the same. Like I stated above the poster told me his source is high up in the Raiders organization via PM. The source from Boston claims his is from Wisconsin so he'd have connections to the Packer organization in all likely hood.

This is bizarre to say the least. It's been a strange day.

    Here is his post

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The deal is going to be finalized tomorrow.

Randy has been told to book a flight to Green Bay and will be at the press conference. Brett will also be making a statement at the press conference, according to my source.

The Raiders will announce a press conference for Friday at 5PM P.S.T.

The Raiders have agreed to allow the Packers to have their Press Conference before the Raiders official press conference, so expect a Packer Press Conference around 1 PM Green Bay time on Friday.

The Raiders will be getting Aaron, and the Packers 7th ruound pick in 2008 for Randy Moss, TE Courtney Anderson - Player Profile- www.sportsline.com/nfl...age/492881 and a conditional pick in 2009 with the highest being a 2nd round pick based on production numbers from Aaron.

Apparently T.T. insisted that part of the deal was for Ranndy Moss and his agent to restructure his contract and ALSO FOR RANDY to be at the PRESS CONFERENCE IN PERSON and offer an appology to the Green Bay Fans in regards to the Mooning of the fans in Green bay. (Good On You T.T.)

Word is Randy is very happy and he and Brett have been talknng on the phone. The respect that Randy has for Brett has always been known so this makes sense to me.

Aaron Rogers has not been assured that the Raiders will not draft Q.B. with the first Pick but is very upbeat on the opportunity to return to the bay area as well as know that he will be the number one QB going into camp.

I know you are all going to ask me for a source. I am sorry I can not give it to you, not that I am a reporter becuase I am not.

I can only tell you that this is what was told to me, by a guy I know, who is a friend of a friend... So this probably means crap.

I just wanted it posted and recorded incase it is right.

I am buying this becuase the Packers need help at TE, the appology and restructuring of Randy's contract as well as the fact the Brett is suppose to make a statement about the trade, after all.... He has been fighting for this.

Intersting point brought up on the radio just recently. Thompson as noted stated This report is wild speculation.

Ron Wolf is going to be on the show in about an hour. Maybe he?ll provide some insight on tampering and what goes on behind scenes.

?We dismiss this report as wild speculation.?

Notice he says this report but doesn't deny Moss to Green Bay at all.

Just a little speculation on the impact for the draft if this happens...

    1. Oakland - won't draft Russell. Calvin Johnson.
    2. Detroit - Joe Thomas/Brady Quinn
    3. Cleveland - Adrian Peterson/Joe Thomas
    4. Tampa Bay - Gaines Adams
    5. Arizona - Joe Thomas/Adrian Peterson/Alan Branch
    6. Washington - Alan Branch/Russell
    7. Minnesota - Russell/Quinn

The way I see it, there's a pretty good chance that if this trade happens, either Quinn or Russell will be available at #7, or at least the possibility of Minnesota moving up and swapping picks with Tampa or Arizona to get Russell.

Then again, Detroit may just mess everything up and draft Russell if he's available.

This guy from the Boston Herald, I read, is also an ESPN host of some sort. So much for credibility?

As long as Quinn is off the board by #9, I'll be thrilled and relieved. I'll have a great time letting those phins fans who have man-crushes on BQ have it. I've heard Cleveland Mgmt is telling the football people to take a QB.

And now back to topic (just for DPG), The Packers organization has too much common sense to even consider Randy Moss IMO.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>FAVRE CERTAIN THAT MOSS WILL BE A PACKER

It's been a while since the rampant rumors linking Raiders receiver Randy Moss to the Green Bay Packers died down. But that doesn't mean that the issue is dead.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Packers quarterback Brett Favre is "100 percent certain" that Moss will be a Packer by the time the 2007 season starts.

The only problem is that the Raiders and the Packers haven't been able to strike a deal for compensation. Our guess is that the logjam will break once the draft approaches; otherwise, any picks necessarily would be deferred into 2008. Plus, if the Raiders choose to take receiver Calvin Johnson with the first pick on April 28, their leverage in subsequent trade talks will surely drop, since the chances of the Raiders letting Johnson get anywhere close to the malcontented Moss are slim and none.</div>
I reallly don't consider PFT a reliable source but some people do. Even if it were true Favre doesn't call the shots. Take it for what it's worth though.
