Tyrus Thomas had two "crushing" blocks this year. One on Josh Smith, and the other on Andray Blatche.

The Blatche one got removed from youtube, but Tyrus blocked the dunk, and just held onto the block for about 2-3 seconds. Blatche probably broke his wrists from that block.

Tyrus is like Bill Russell in a lot of ways. Such as how he blocks shots that you didn't think were possible (Tyrus is obviously lengthier and more athletic than Russell, but relative to the competition, they stand apart from the competition in terms of athleticism about equally imo). Also the way Russell trailed on the fastbreak for the block, and then used his length to erase it after it was layed up. Tyrus does the same thing. Although Thomas is also taking a lot from Ben Wallace with the tip blocks as well.

All-time I'd say Mark Eaton, he use to try and throw it off peoples heads.

    currently, I'd say Ben Wallace.
