Im personally tired of any player being compared to Jordan..Im sick of the next-Jordan tags that are placed on players..I dont think anyone comes close to the things he has done and he has Kobe beat in every aspect of the game, definatly in defense and toughness...I think we need to stick to the topic at hand..This is about the most overatted player, how does Kobe vs. Jordan even come into play here??

CB stated Something about Michael jordan which was absolutely false to make kobe look bad. The guy knows nothing on the issue of Kobe bryant.

I personally dont like Kobe, but he is definatly not overatted..He has done some amazing things, and albeit I dont consider him an MVP candidate this year because of his team's performance, you cant knock the things he has done...

Agreed. As much as I hate the way he plays, and how overrated his clutch ability is, he has won three titles and has beens coring the ball like few before. You can knock how he plays, his leadership, his decision-making, but you can't knock what he has accomplished

i'm agreeing with anyone that says yao ming. i am so sick of him. he gets owned by shaq consistently and he still is the top vote getter. the only reason he gets it is because he is from china, which has the most populated cities in the world (behjing, hong kong). he isn't good. he's a <Censored>. he's shawn bradley with a better shot and a little better in the post. that's not an accomplishment. how about playing like you're 7'6''? a guy that tall should have at least 4 or 5 blocks a game. he gets 1.5. a guy that tall should average more than 12. he gets 10. screw this guy cuz he is a joke.

Yes, he is, but hes still a decent player. He shouldnt be an all-star, certainly not an all-star starter, but he is still a solid all around player. He is timid on the interior and should be capable of putting up better numbers and being more of a force inside, but the fact is he still puts up 19 and 9, and those are solid numbers no matter who you are..He is overatted, but he isnt garbage..

As much as I'm tired of the Kobe/Jordan discussions, I'm tired of the lousy Yao/All-Star starter discussions. Other then Yao, you got Miller and Camby. You can make a good argument for Yao against either of those 2. On top of that, Yao is just more popular not just in China, but basketball wise around the world. It's that simple, you can say all you want China dominating polls(I'm pretty sure they got more things to do then vote all day for Yao), but it's also a fact he's a household name in America with commercials out the <Censored>. He's advertised more then any center besides Shaq, if we only poll America for All-Star, I'm pretty sure Yao will still start. Just like guys who vote for injured players like Amare, Carter, Hill in the starting lines these past years. I question how Amare got more votes then Brand, Gasol, Dirk, when he hasn't played a game.

You <Censored> Laker fans take things so seriously, if someone says 1 negative thing about Kobe then they get flamed for it? I know nothing? What in my post was not true? And I had the experience on another board, some guy thought that Kobe was better then Jordan. And I bet a bunch of people here would put Kobe in the top 10 all time which he is not. What has he done? When he wins Finals MVP or wins a championship on his own then you can proceed in riding his <Censored>.

You have no idea on the subject of Michael jordan or kobe bryant.I know that his team isn't that talented but if you were great like Jordan then you would be able to form chemistry and make some use of it.Micahel Jordan had good team chemistry with his teamates? News to me.When he wins Finals MVP or wins a championship on his own then you can proceed in riding his <Censored>.Did michael jordan win anything with crappy teamates as kobe has? If you think he did, this discussion is over. If not i'll continue.

I'll throw out some names. - Jamaal Magloire He does nothing outside of rebounding. His defense is okay but not as good as advertised. When he's in the paint he moves his feet like they are asleep and has a lot of ugly moments. Definatly dissapointed with him so far this season. - James Posey He's not that great of a defender, not a very good athlete and doesn't shoot well. His three point shooting is up because of Shaq and Wade. Just not the SF the Heat had envisioned.

OMG, i totally agree with Magloire. Since i live in Wisconsin i get a lot of Bucks games, and watching him play, its like, WOW. But i guess id rather have him in there then Joe Smith (Altho Joe did go for 30 and 10 the other night, in a losing effort), but Magloire is very overrated. I remember reading in my paper that when they traded for him they figured he would get back to his old All Star self, HA, yea right.

When he was an all-star his numbers were not that good....he only made it because they needed a big guy to fill in. I'd much rather have Bogut and Smith playing together but Magloire would through a hissy fit and be a turd in the offseason and demand a trade.

If Smith can be consistently good, then he should start, but hes been kinda up and down on the season, but hes still a good player.

When he gets over his injury and can play more than 20 minutes I expect him to be fine. I think the Bucks will still start Magloire since he's such a baby.

Well, i guess id rather have Magloire, then Mason, seeing as how big man are hard to come by, but they* have a few F's and G's.

I'd much rather have kept Mason and our first round pick...Kukoc and Gadzuric would be a decent backups.
