Yes, he could play those guys, I'm saying Plumlee is more of a 5 and Davis is more of a 4...

I'm an Ed Davis fanboi, and I always get a laugh out of the "he put on X pounds of muscle" claims that MB used to give, so I voted for that.

An increase in Hark's 3pt% would be great, and if Plumlee shot a respectable 10' and FT%, we would be improve.

I think you could also add an option for Meyers Leonard being in the right headspace and healthy. :bwpopcorn:

Anything that has to do with defense is the most significant development.

Hopefully they've worked on (in order of importance) 1. Defense , 2. Dribbling/Ball Handling 3. Screen Setting .

If they have worked on those things, the whole team, then we will close the gap in skill level up to Golden State. . .

My first thought was to go with 'if' CJ can become a good defender. I went with Moe, though, because I think if he's dangerous from three, it will open up his game, which will add a lethal element to our offense.

The 'pundits' sleep on this team's potential.

I want to clarify. I think Plums mid range shot isnt as important as some others, like Mo's 3pt shooting. I just think Plums will show more improvement.

Like most, I'm having a tough time picking between Moe and Plumlee. Funny that we're all picking offensive developments, when defense is where we need to improve the most!

One angle to Moe's development that I don't believe has been touched on: If he develops into a reliable 3-point shooter it makes Crabbe that much more expendable. With the contracts we handed out this summer I think we really need to make a consolidation trade this season. My preliminary package, before seeing how the team works, would be centered around Crabbe/Davis with Aminu/Vonleh/Plumlee/Turner being added or swapped depending on how they work with the team and what we'd be getting in return.

This is like word for word what I was about to say. Moe making threes at >38% with relatively high volume would be HUGE. He's a two way player.

If Moe could shoot 37% from 3, then he might be our first player who's above average on both offense and defense. This would lead to increase PT for one of our better defenders, which would also improve our defense.

I like Plumlee, but.... Improved shooting by him would still mean that he would have to improve his rim protection, rebounding, and offensive aggressiveness.

If Moe could shoot 36% or so, it might make him more expendable if we're looking for a blockbuster because he'd be our #1 trade asset. A 3-and-D guy with great athleticism and rebounding, who's only 23, and only making around $10M dollars a year? That's the type of guy you build a package for someone like Cousins around.

If Moe could shoot 35% we would be golden.

Went with Plumlee developing a mid-range shot. One would have to assume if he can now hit those at a respectable rate, his FT shooting would also see a respectable bump. If those two things are true, back up the Brinks for his next contract as he'll be a very valuable player. His ability to drive and dish will be accentuated if his man has to guard his J and Portland's attack would be much more difficult to defend.

That said, until I see it with my own eyes I'm putting all these rumors beside the Shawn Kemp has lost 50 pounds reports.

If Mo could hit > 40% from 3-point range, we'd have a legitimate shot at upsetting GSW and winning it all.

It would make Crabbe totally expendable. We could package him and Turner for LeBron. Adding LeBron would also make Turner expendable.

I'm sure this was Neil's plan all along. Over pay Turner and match BRK's ridiculous offer on Crabbe so we can move them in a package for LeBron at the trade deadline.

And yes MM, starting the new sharp shooting Hark at the 3 and LeBron at the 4 would also improve our defense.

Where was there a report that Mo has been working on his 3 point shot? I could have sworn that last night on CSN when he was asked if he'd been working on his outside shot he said not at all. Then he said he felt comfortable out to about 17 feet.

All I heard was Dame saying that there were a few scrimmages where his team lost because Moe was hitting tons of 3 pointers.
