Alonzo Mourning is suffering from some nagging injuries, and may miss some action http://www.nj.com/sportsflash/nets/index.s...torylist=njnets Edit: Link not working please use the Link I provided down low to a article on the same subject.
^ Thanks, I was actually logging on to Justbball right now to post an article on the subject, here goes another article..........
Quote:

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec.9- One of Alonzo Mourning's goals this season, in his remarkable comeback from Kidney transplant he had last Dec. 19, was to play all 82 games, whether it was for the Nets or for another team. On Thrusday, however, Mourning said he might have to ask to be put on the injured list because most of body aches.
nytimes.com ---------- The good thing is this isnt directly related to his Kidneys. It is more of a conditioning thing, which means it isnt putting his life or career in harms way. The sad part is the Nets cant buy good fortune right now. the Nets finally get Kidd back but looks like they will lose Mourning for sometime. And they really dont have anywhere to go to replace his pressence in the frontcourt, low post area on either end of the floor. So Jersey is in a boat load of trouble. Collins' weak # and play at the 4 spot will be exposed even more. Iam pretty sure that the minutes will increase for Nenad Krstic, but I still have to wonder who will start. Aaron Williams probably will re-join the regular rotation as well. But right now losing 11ppg & 7rpg along with 2bpg is a killer for this team. Also I doubt the Nets will be able to move Mourning in a trade even if its a package that includes Kidd. I think this re-awakens teams to how risky it would be to take on Zo's contract, even tho this stint on IR isnt all that serious.
Him spending time on the IR is expected. Like what hen said, it's better to be sidelined due to bodyaches than because of his kidney. He has a long season to go so a rest early on will be good.
