Rubber is the story of Robert, an inanimate tire that has been abandoned in the desert and then suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes. At first content to prey on discarded objects and small desert creatures, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who crosses his path. Leaving a swath of destruction behind, Robert becomes a chaotic force and truly a movie villain for the ages.
Dick Tracy: Liked it a lot better than I remembered liking it way back when, which isn't really saying much. The Phantom: Jesus, Billy Zane is a douche, lol. Entertaining movie, but you'll want to wear an oven mitt so you don't bruise yourself with all the facepalms. I'm fine with suspending disbelief, but suspending disbelief AND the silly purple costume is just asking a little bit too much. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb: I really don't understand why I like these movies as much as I do. And I'm ok with that. Robin Williams is fantastic as Teddy Roosevelt. Rango: Holy crap, I was expecting a kid's movie. Much darker than I thought it would be. Liked it though. Ghost Rider: I didn't realize how good Nicolas Cage was at doing a Keanu Reeves impersonation. I'm thinking he used PEDs, though. No way he could keep such a dead pan without botox. Loose Cannons: Pretty danged funny movie. Hackman's widely known to be a brilliant actor, but I still believe he's underrated. I knew I remembered seeing the mother from Last Man Standing in something when she was younger. The Public Eye: Great movie. Not sure why Pesci doesn't get more love for it. Personally, I blame Barbara Hershey. High Anxiety: Mel. Fucking. Brooks. A Dog's Breakfast: Quite possibly my favorite movie of all time. At least until I watch Support Your Local Gunfighter again...
That one looks really intriguing. I can't just watch super intense movies like that out of the blue, though, I need to prepare myself...
I just googled the synopsis, I haven't seen it yet. It sounds amazing! The description reads like something 3RA1N1AC would randomly drop in the forum somewhere, but with better spelling and punctuation.
Watched the Martian. I had listened to the audio book before seeing the movie. For the most part I think it was really well done and they stuck to the book pretty closely. Things went off the rails at the end though. They changed a few things and added to the original story. Either way, I would recommend the book and the movie.
I basically thought you invented that description out of nowhere. I can't believe that's real. It's even more bizarre than "Death Bed: The Bed That Eats".
I bought a few yesterday. Some I'd seen, some I've been wanting to see. Just watched the entourage movie. It wasn't bad, written similar to the show. The ending was kind of abrupt, but I got what I was expecting out of it. Next on my watch list - Fury, dawn of the planet of the apes. Mad max fury road is 9.99 on iTunes, was thinking about buying it.
I need to watch that again. I remembering really liking it. Trivia: Murray got to do that picture in exchange for agreeing to do Ghostbusters 2. That was the deal he made with the studio.
