Here's one that came out when I used to frequent coffee houses back in the mid 60s.

Gordon Lightfoot - Early Morning Rain

I’m not a music “fanatic”, I just know what I like when I hear it. Getting ready for a long road trip I went noodling the internet to find some “new” tunes I could enjoy for the ride. I love live performances and I stumbled upon a 3 CD set by Little Steven (Van Zandt) and The Disciples Of Soul called “Soulfire Live”, released within the last year or so. Great stuff! Mainly R&B/soul with an extremely tight backing band. The 3rd CD is covers of old chestnuts of songs that inspired Van Zandt over the years. Anyway, kind of an obscure band for most folks, especially the younger set but I’m really looking forward to cranking it up when I hit the road.......

This showed up on my doorstep yesterday (I finally used up the last of the Amazon gift cards I got for Christmas):

The sound quality is amazing. It was remastered by the legendary Robert Ludwig with the lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. It was pressed by Optimal in Germany. I don't own any other Optimal pressings, but anything involving Bob Ludwig and Chris Bellman is bound to sound great.

This is officially my favorite Eagles album, nosing out both Hotel California and their first Greatest Hits album. I love the energy of the live performance, the track selection and the live version of Hotel California on this album is my favorite. Plus, even the non-hits like The Last Resort sound great on this album.

So, the last two new albums I've bought (this one and the 2008 re-issue of Moondance by Van Morrison) have been absolute masterpieces, everything from the performances to the pressing to everything in between. Reminds my why I like vinyl so much.

P.S. that's a new to me, Harman Kardon T60 turntable with a vintage Grado cartridge. It's the best turntable I have ever owned. I had to drive down to Cottage Grove to get it a couple weekends ago, but I got a great deal on it and it was well worth the price. It was Harman Kardon's top of the line turntable from 1983, which makes it a good match for my Yamaha A-1000, their top of the line integrated amplifier from 1983.

Your passion for music of all types and equipment from old and new has inspired me as retired dude, to rejuvenate my passion. Never really lost it totally but I like the idea of a new hobby in collecting recordings and refurbishing some older equipment.
