I have precious few cassettes and 8-Tracks. I do have a nice collection of 33 1/3 LPs. I use to play them on a Garrard but then I upgraded to a Dual. I also have a few CDs.

Yeah, I had about 1100 vinyl LPs at one time but thinned them out to save space about 15 years ago...still have about 400 of my favs/collectables and still play them on my old faithful Technics manual turntable...JVC 4VN-770 Amp...and Sansui SP-1700 speakers. All these are original 1970's models bought new. I also have a Bose Acoustimass 6.1 surround system coupled with a Onkyo Amp that I use for digital recordings.

I probably don't have over 100 LPs but one of them is the Beatles white album. I've also got a complete set of Beethoven's symphonies conducted by Arturo Toscanini. My speakers are AR-15s, I can't recall my receiver but I think it was a Sansui, one of the first with an FET front end in the receiver portion. I'm trying to remember if the amp was an 8 ohm connection or a 4 ohm connection. Both were popular back then.

I had tons of lp's as well, but small kids and dogs made it time to go digital as after a few expesive cartridge replacements in my Thorens turntable and several albums being damaged forced my hand.

I had a Thorens for a short time until I finally discovered that the cartridge and stylus was the most important component...and the best I found based on channel separation and high end frequency and durability was a Shure M55E or a M44E...just my preference.

I remember the Shure. I always went for a diamond elliptical needle.

3 songs from the classic "Innervisions" album by Stevie Wonder ("Living For The City" is my fav)...and on 6 of the 9 tracks on the album Stevie incredibly wrote every note, every lyric, sang every song, and believe it or not, played every instrument including drums, percusion, clavinette, keyboards, bass, etc. (over dubbing), all of this from a guy who has never seen the light of day...simply incredible. ...btw, headphone help.

Always been a fan of Stevie's even in the 60's but the 70's albums "Innervisions" and "Songs in the Key of Life" still blow me away
