One of the most underrated and ahead of their times bands from Britain! That's a great album..I liked your video.
Definitely true in regards to the kinks. And also thank you. The new project is actually throwing more 60's pop influences in. Sounds great so far.
If I'm available and can borrow a decent camera, I'd love to. Give me as much advance notice as you can. What sort of stuff do you do?
I've played bass since middle school, plus I mess around with keyboards/loops. I'm also a pretty good mastering engineer. Not a terrific mixer but once it's mixed I'm smart with finalizing.
ive played guitar for about 20yrs unfortunately im in NZ tho. and probably play heavier than needed. Tune to C for le win. for those interested - rig rundown time! Guitars: I've owned TONS, but always kept my epiphone LP Black beauty -its one of the early Korean ones and tbh i havent found anything i like more for what and how i play - I've replaced a bunch of the standard things on it - tuners pickups - had it rewired, replaced the bridge saddle etc. I'm using a super distortion II pickup in the neck (which i use 99% of the time) and a railhammer split in the bridge (railhammers are great btw), Also have a Gibson LP 1950's reissue and a ESP LTD with actives. annnnd a few acoustics, takamine d30? and a A&L something or other. Amps I've been through a ton as well, but have settled on 3 combos i use. 1 - practice amp - small venue - Peavey Studio Pro 112 - a classic worker and a nice nice tone - cheap too! 2 - middle guy - Laney AOR50 head with a Blackstar 2x12 half cab - its heavy as shit and awesome 3 - finisher - Sovtek MIG100 head + Tubeworks 4x12 Quad + Peavey 1x15" Black Widow bass cab - makes me hot just thinking about it Effects like 40 pedals all up, but the ones in the rotation at the minute are... EHX - Metal Muff EHX - Memory Man Dunlop - Wah Boss - GE7 EQ Boss - TU3 tuner Boss - NS2 supressor MXR - Phase 90 other things that pop in depending on whats going on EHX - expression pedal ex7 - so cool Big Muff Boss phaser - 2x phasers is good fun sometimes tone/style similar to Kyuss The Sword Unida Fu Manchu Helmet etc but mostly Kyuss.
I referee that day. Also, Sundays suck for me. Being a single pop that's the day I get him back from the ex. She has my boy on weekends and I have him during the week. I've got work and he has school and an 8:00 bedtime.
Drummer of 25 years. Damn. If I were still in Tacoma, I would actually consider driving down. Sounds like a blast. Props for the event Orion. I might be interested in getting a disc if you make one. You guys should jam on the blazers game opening theme! Maybe get someone who's not instrument-inclined to do Mike Barrett's awesome-play excitement voice over the music.
\Ive thought about this a few times. Hawthorne did a pretty decent one and then one other band has had the lock for last year with a good instrumental. They were both pretty straight forward rock though. I want to create one more hip hop oriented but still have rock guitars. Like a funky hip hop rock version and see if I can get the Blazers to bite. This is my winter side project this year anyhow...well one of many. You know, it would have been Saturday, but tow old friends from Co who now I've in CA wont be up until Sat night, so I made it Sunday. Plus Friday and Saturday there are a lot of really good shows in town I plan on attending. One of which I suggest for all of you guys. Dante's has a tribute show going on Friday with a STP tribute and AIC tribute band with an original as the opener. I am friends and shared the stage with several members of both of the tribute bands. Vet musicians who put on quality shows. I will be at this one for sure. Don't refs call in sick? LOL. No worries man, we will get something else on the side soon. So far I have about 24-25 people committed from around town. Going to be fun times.
