I wouldn't be surprised if his plan in acquiring twitter was similar to Bezos plan of acquiring the Washington Post. Control of the narrative.
I might have said this, but does anyone else feel like Elon is the guy who never had friends or was cool, became rich and powerful, and is doing things he thinks cool people do, without realizing that nothing could be further from the truth?

They get like 80% of their revenue from advertising. Their advertisers are leaving in droves. If they can't make money Musk could claim bankruptcy, shut it down, and just write it off as a loss. Might get him out of paying taxes for a few years, which could be the best possible return on his investment at this point. Totally speculation on my part though.
Because he's bad publicity right now. Allowing 300 accounts to make 50k posts with the N-word after buying the company was almost certainly part of it. He posted that absolute hack theory about palosi's husband... Among other things...
