I'd like to see Dunleavy start on the bench at first and see how he plays against a teams second unit. I think he would be more effective that way and maybe force him to learn to be more agressive. I think right now he is better suited for that role for this team to be effective.

Dunleavy has only been in the league 1.5 years. Where was Novitzki at that point? A skinny white dude sitting on the bench averaging 8 pts per game. Now in his second year he did blossom and average 17.5 ppg. I'm not trying to say Cardinal has not earned a starting position but Dunleavy only lost his position because he got injured and at that time he was really coming on.

Good decision by Musselmen. You guys pretty much summed up the topic, but I agree that Dunleavy needs to start. He played well before and injury and is one of many good future players on this team. Cardinal is a nice spark off the bench, he hustles, makes plays, and overall when he's in the game the Warriors play a lot better. If Dunleavy was to sit the bench I don't really see him finding his rythem like he does when he starts. Though I would like to see Cardinal finish off games, because down the stretch Warriors have the depth and scoring they need to put them over the top in games, Mike does not play well defensivley so their is really no point in having him in the game.

As long as Dunleavy shows he has an arsenal of offensive weaponry rather than rely on just the 3 ball. He's 6'9" or 6'10" and should be able to shoot right over anybody with those long arms of his.

If he keeps that up people will have to respect his move to the basket and he will have room to hit his shots. The problem is that he gets comfortable with just shooting the ball and he becomes a one demisional player.

Yeah I guess i'm not sold on Dunleavy because early scouting reports gave him comparisons to Larry Bird. "OMG that's blasphemy", was my initial thought when I read that. Larry Bird was the man who had a true all around game. If Dunleavy ever wants to live up to the amount of hype he received he better work really hard this offseason.

Well you can't blame Dunleavy for that hype. Correct me if Im wrong, but I've never heard Dunleavy compare himself to Bird. The guy just needs time to develope and I think he is doing a good job at working hard to become the type of player the Warriors need him to be.
