I'm with you brother! Sorry Niner fans, I don't condone a lot of the black hole mentality, but I love the Raiders. Couldn't help it, grew up in LA where there was only ONE football team, the Rams were not an option.

Our team isn't looking too good right now, but at least Larry Fitzgerald will be wearing the Silver & Black in '04!.

i'm fans of both teams, but i've been a raider fan way longer...ever since they moved back to oakland. however, i realize it's dumb to HAVE to like just one of the local teams...so i like them both...same goes for the baseball teams.

Yeah, I usually have two teams that I support in other sports, but when it comes to football it's the Raiders all the way. Georgia Frontiere is the reason that so many fans, including myself didn't care at all when she began talk of moving the team. She wanted to go to St. Louis...good riddance. It doesn't seem like that long ago the Raiders were still in LA, it's been almost 10 years now! Damn.

O no man, not you too Ogshowtime [IMG] ...The raiders abandoned us, you can't just remain a fan...it's like still being in love with a girl that dumped you for someone else....where's the dignity man [IMG]

I was once a huge Raider fan...Football was by far my favorite sport...then those bastards broke my heart and left town....now they're the team I dispise the most....they did it to us, and they alraedy did it once to oakland, so watch out, they're gonna do it again...they're the sluts of the NFL...

We'll get a team in 2008 i heard so only 4 more years.....

I took the same attitude at first, but then I realized that the Raiders actually belonged in Oakland and that I couldn't abandon my team. It's not like I was going to go downtown, pay $60 for a ticket and keep my fingers crossed that my car would still be there when the game was over. I hated going to Raider games at the coliseum, it was just cool to know that they were in LA.

Oakland is not much different than LA though, Raider fans are the same everywhere. Gotta stick with your team brother! I know they hurt you, but look at it this way: if they're sluts...hmm, better not go there. But my point is, as long as Al Davis owns the team, anything can happen. He has loyalty to one thing: money. I've come to accept that. Hell, he was going to plant a stadium in that hole over in Irwindale! - or so he made them believe as he took their 10 mil. I hope we do get a team back here someday, in fact we should have had one by now, but the city sat on their thumbs and did nothing. Houston got the team, and a Superbowl. So as far is I'm concerned, LA doesn't want a team.

lol, come on now, you're making L.A. sound like a bad city [IMG]. Besides, the Clipps played at the Sports Arena for years, being a big clippers fan I'm sure you didn't mind too much...(for those who don't know, the L.A. sports arena is right next to the Coliseum....

I'm the type of guy that is loyal to the my home teams...I'm a Clipper/Laker fan, UCLA/USC fan, and a Dodger fan...the Raiders didn't return any loaylty and that's something I won't be able to forgive....Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of Jeff Hostetler, Napolean McCallum (poor guy), Howie Long, etc etc...those were my guys....but I've come to hate the franchise...

Like I said, for you bay area ppl, don't get too attached to them if you're the type of person that won't be a fan when they leave....

I can completely see where you're coming from man, those guys will always be my favorite Raiders too. Haha, I didn't mind going to the Clippers games at the old sports arena for two main reasons: 1 - the tickets were dirt cheap and you practically sit wherever you wanted to. 2 - most of the time I didn't drive to the games, I took the bus.

To give you all a little bit more insight about just how bad the area is around the arena and coliseum: the stadium is surrounded by rot iron bars with pointed tips and the KFC across the street has bulletproof plexiglass in front of the counter. [IMG]

I love LA, it's still my hometown (almost), but as far as the football issue goes they've done absolutely nothing to secure a team. That's what leads me to be believe that the city as a whole really doesn't want another football team. I know where you're at NMG and that 90% of the football fans are still Raider fans. Do you ever see any other team represented? What if our new team ended up being our old team, that was once our new team....?

This thread has gone way off topic. The Raiders are THE Bay Area's team and you'll need to recognize. They have all the real fans who are passionate about their team. All of the whiner fans just root for their team when they are successful.

Screw the niners. And with that, this thread is closed![IMG]
