My one piece of advise is to think as much or more about where you want to get it as you do about what you want to get. If it's somewhere not covered and readily visible then it will be your handshake to many strangers. People will notice it, and you will get comments about it. It's true you shouldn't be getting it for any reason other than because you like it and it means something to you. Just don't get it on your forehead... Also some tattoo artists can be picky about where you get it and how it is positioned etc... They are artists and this is their art, I think it's a good idea to listen to your artists input as they have likely been doing this for a while and their motivation is to create their best work possible (assuming you don't go to someone like in Slys picture).
1. Watch Silence of the Lambs. 2. Dig hole in basement. 3. Find someone with a nice Blazer tattoo (@HCP) 4. Get that person (@HCP) in the hole. 5. Make that person (@HCP) put the lotion on their skin or you'll give them the hose again. 6. Skin the person (@HCP). 7. Wear the Blazer tattoo to see if you really like it and want one.
Most who get tattoos aren't doing it to be part of a current trend, they do it because it means something to them and that meaning will never change.
