The LSU game hurt me big time. Everybody is close right now, and I think you'll start to see big seperations after tomorrow's games.

I went 13-3 on my picks. I will take it. I lost with my picks on FDU, Alabama, and Texas. I do not regret picking either of them. Had FDU won it, I would have been a genius and if FDU shot the ball well, they win the game. I won't lose sleep on that though I hate the loss. I thought Bama was a great pick because they go deep in the tournament in recent years. Unfortunately, they stunk today. Texas stunk today and they are a good postseason team, but they played like they wanted no part of Rick Barnes, their head coach. Rick Barnes is rumored to go to Virginia, his homestate as coach and the players clearly played like they wanted him fired. I should have known better on that one.

Pacific, UAB, Cincinatti, and Texas Tech made me look good. I pick Pacific mainly because Pitt showed me nothing. I wasn't going to be burned not picking UAB after last year when they upset Kentucky. I pick TT because UCLA was too soft. Iowa had no business being in the tournament and it showed today. I knew Cincy would beat them.

I breathe easily when Utah and West Viriginia survived.

This is bittersweet. I could have been perfect tonight and the FDU win would have been something else.

It's on to tommorow. I need a perfect bracket and it starts with the Gophers winning tommorow.

As I woke up this morning (no school in Minnesota, seven inches of snow already) I am 12-4. It is pretty easy to say that the Chicago Bracket screwed me over. I got three wrong (LSU, Alabama, Texas) and then I got Iowa wrong. The okay thing about all those picks is I don't have any of those teams winning their next game.

I'm looking forward to today's action!

Haha, I wrote all about the SEC West and then they both get bounced in the first round. Alabama, I was a little surprised but then I never thought that much of them. I just wrote off UWM too easily.

LSU surprised me though. I thought they were better than that. I know that UAB team is basically the same team from last year, and they have the experience, but I did not expect the LSU collapse. UAB, despite being the same team from last season, really didn't do all that well this year. I don't know what LSU's problem was, though, they just couldn't handle the press. I felt like the LSU coach didn't even tell the kids that UAB applies full court pressure because they seemed completely shocked and bewildered.

The other games I got wrong were:

UTEP - Ahhh, toe on the line in the fast break or they might have won that game!
Creighton - What a crazy finish. Honestly, I wasn't sure how Creighton had such a good chance to win, let alone led for almost the entire second half, because it didn't really seem like they should have been there. Yet they were, they had a chance to take the lead, but WVU had that awesome dunk play. Then they had another chance for an all-time memorable finish but couldn't hit the moderately difficult shot. Killer.

And last, Iowa, because of the theory that when in doubt, always pick against the Bearcats.

I was doing great until the last set of games. I was 10-2 going into those games and I went 1-3. LSU losing killed me, I had them in the Sweet 16, I don't know why they were jacking up 3's at the beginning, that's what killed them. Give it to your big guys, let them do the work.

Yeah that would have been a nice upset pick if FDU would have knocked off the Illi, but I have to say that is a big risk you took have them going out of the tournament so early, in a Chi-town bracket that might get easier for them from here on out. I think they get past Nevada tommorrrow. And Boston College in the sweet 16 cause BC defends well but they still cant score with Illinos, so their major test might not come until the elite 8, where I think they will get knocked off by OK. ST in a close one.

Anyway, Shapecity or Hunter can you please tell me why on the Yahoo tournament pick'em, it has me down for zero points, when I went 11-5 yesterday?, thanks

HENACY You'll have to ask Hunter about that one, I don't have access to the other JBB Groups. I noticed there's a couple of 0's in my group as well, even though people made picks, if it's not fixed by today we'll contact Yahoo tech support.

Up to 18 points now. I also noticed Yahoo corrected some of the 0's from the first group, you might want to check your account again.

Henacy: I have to admit that I pick FDU as a homer pick more than anything. They had a shot though. Oh well

I am done with my brackets. Bucknell was my bracket buster.
