Ariza, Landry, Scola and Hayes were either undrafted or second round picks. Brooks was low first round. These guys all had serious holes in their games, yet they persevered. Individually, they're not great, but they play with heart and understand what it means to be a team.

Honestly, I just think Daryl Morey is a superior team builder (fitting complimentary pieces together rather than just assembling talent) and wherever Adelman has gone he's been able to devise a system that pretty much maximizes the talent of the players he has at hand.

This is why I've been kind of puzzled and non-plussed by KP since last year's trade deadline when it started to become a question for me if he had the chops to actually make trades and moves that would balance this roster out. Of course the injury bug that has crippled this team has only magnified its problems, but this wasn't looking like a particularly cohesive or well balanced squad before our two best defenders were lost.

It all starts at the top for me, KP has started to look increasingly confused when it comes to rounding the team out with true role-players, and Nate has mostly looked incapable of blending the ingredients.

Ya, you also said Greg is out for the year before that happened. Guess we should trust what you say.
