I had a nightmare about the Warriors. It was a scary trade. Look Golden State trades: SG Mickael Pietrus (8.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.2 apg in 19.4 minutes) PF Troy Murphy (16.2 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 35.2 minutes) PG Speedy Claxton (13.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 6.1 apg in 32.6 minutes) SG Jason Richardson (22.6 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.9 apg in 38.2 minutes) SF Mike Dunleavy (12.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 32.9 minutes) Golden State receives: SF Eric Williams (8.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 25.9 minutes) Alvin Williams (No games yet played in 2004/05) SG Jalen Rose (17.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg in 30.7 minutes) PG Rafer Alston (13.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 7.0 apg in 33.7 minutes) C Rafael Araujo (3.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 12.5 minutes) Change in team outlook: -30.9 ppg, -15.0 rpg, and -3.8 apg. Toronto trades: SF Eric Williams (8.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 25.9 minutes) Alvin Williams (No games yet played in 2004/05) SG Jalen Rose (17.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg in 30.7 minutes) PG Rafer Alston (13.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 7.0 apg in 33.7 minutes) C Rafael Araujo (3.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 12.5 minutes) Toronto receives: SG Mickael Pietrus (8.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.2 apg in 19.4 minutes) PF Troy Murphy (16.2 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 35.2 minutes) PG Speedy Claxton (13.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 6.1 apg in 32.6 minutes) SG Jason Richardson (22.6 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.9 apg in 38.2 minutes) SF Mike Dunleavy (12.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 32.9 minutes) Change in team outlook: +30.9 ppg, +15.0 rpg, and +3.8 apg. TRADE DECLINED Due to Toronto and Golden State being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Toronto and Golden State had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only Toronto met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. I was so pissed at Mulin. Then I went to the trade checker and saw it can't work. Whew
My Warriors nightmare was that Warriors Gilbert Arenas and Antwan Jamison went off to become All-stars on another team. Oh wait...
^LOL. My dream was followed up with Mullin trading the rest of the team for second round picks in '06 and '05
