    I never really liked the guy.
    As for the Pearl district, I spent almost half my childhood in NW Portland. Living someplace around 16th and Irving and then 25th and Northrup and then 19th and Irving and we never called the Pearl district the Pearl district. It was always either Chinatown or simply North West Portland. For those of you who may be curious, and I have no idea why you'd want to know, but I spent a little over half my childhood in Oswego, Oregon (Now part of Lake Oswego, formed after the merger of Oswego and Lake Grove in 1959).
