Talked to a pair of close friends last night, both with parents that live up in the Larch Mountain area and in level 3 evacs. My sister/BiL were close to the area 1 but not in any real danger at this point. Sounds like things quieted down some and the fire is much closer to being contained. Still haven't heard any definitive answer on what started it.

I know there are a ton of dirt bike trails up in those mountains. We use to go up there to paintball and set up camp. Sounds like the prevailing rumor is it was some people on dirtbikes, but not sure if it was them tossing a cigarette down, or maybe a bike sparking and causing the fire.
Talked to a buddy last night outside of Camas. Was at level Two on Sunday but is now a level one and the coming rain is supposed to snuff it out.
My brother-in-law's house is very near there in far East Vancouver. He's got a Camas address although technically in Vancouver.
