Name three things you learned after this season

lol, i've actually become a laker fan this season when they started losing along with Kobe.

1. Chucky Atkins is no point guard
2. Now is the time for everyody to hate Kobe
3. There should be a petition to fire Mitch Kupchak

 

So many people have said Kobe can't do it all. Did anyone actually expect him to do it on his own? Jordan didn't, Shaq didn't, nobody done it on their own. Why expect Kobe to do it on his own. Also, when you say do it on his own, it also implies to expecting Kobe and four high school ballers to win the playoff finals. I am not calling anyone on the team high school ballers, but I am saying that if you expect someone to do it on their own, you would expect them with high school ballers to "do it on their own"

 

If Kobe is a truely great player he will use all of the criticism as motivation and come back next year with a vengence.

I didn't expect them to win it all, but I expected them to make the Playoffs in the 6-8 seed. I'm shocked that the Lakers will probably finish behind the GSW and the Clippers.

I expected that Kobe plus a team of NBA players would be much better than the Pacers without Artest and O'neil. Unfortunately they're not better, they're much worse.

Is there anyone here that can say with a straight face that they expected them to be this bad even considering injuries and the coaching change?

I think that it is an added bonus by having the most hated player in basketball on your team. This means that we would have less bandwaggoners and we will be part of a minority by liking Kobe. It is also funny when people come up with stupid reason's to hate Kobe and call him a bad basketball player. I have heard this before: "Kobe is crap at basketball because he is a ball hog and a rapist"

Stupid reasons bring hilarity to my life.

I think those people were reffering to making the playoffs, not being #1 in the conference, and winning a championship or something. Making the playoffs can be done alone, success in the playoffs is a different story.

1) Laker fans haven't learnt to lose yes, you can learn from Clipper fans lol.
2) Iverson is a little better than I've previously given him credit for
3) This team needs a lot of chemistry work, and a fair amount of off-season shuffling

1.Lakers didnt get bad because they only lost shaq, the main reason they lost all their starters and a few key players.

1. Chucky Atkins is not the point guard for this team. They need someone with a pass first mentality so Kobe doesn't have to set up the offense almost every time down the court. Chucky is terrible at creating for his teammates the Lakers need someone that will create for others before thinking of himself first. It will make life easier for Kobe and for everyone else.

2. Kobe can't do it all. He needs to trust his teammates more come next season and he needs to cut the turnovers down. He tried to do too much far too often this season and hopefully he learns that they need him to do more than score.

3. Take your shots at Kobe while he's down. He's not going to let the Lakers lose again next year. He will find a way to get this team back to the postseason next year, but he's going to need some more consistent help from his supporting cast and he's going to need a better coach. Frank Hamblin isn't the man for the job, so they best be finding someone who can get it done for them next year.

This is possibly the worst post of all time. Congratulations for being an example of "critics" who come out with stupid things such as "kobe aint no corvette. hes just a corolla," or "Kobe is crap at b-ball because he is a rapist."

When did Kobe say he was better than Shaq? They play in different positions so they can't be compared but if you mean better, as in talent, Kobe has more talent.

Wrong again, when did Shaq win a championship when he was the only superstar on the team? Never. How many years had Shaq been in the NBA before he won a championship. If he was so dominent, he would have won the title when he was in Orlando.

When did Kobe call himself a corvette? Stop posting stupid things. Yet again this is another example of the "critics" giving stupid comments. When did averaging 28PPG, 6RPG, 6APG from any position, let alone a guard make you a bad player? 3 more points, 1 more rebound and 1 more assist than last season.

What's with all the take shots at Kobe when he's down posts, I don't think people are really ripping on him bad, the worst is people saying he can't do it alone which is obvious. Really, how many Kobe fans here would say they didn't strip the McGrady 19 game losing streak dry in any argument that had to do with those 2 last year?

Even in the beginning of the year when the Rockets were struggling, people hated on him, it happens, really...

IMO, Shaq isn't the Most Dominant ever. Did he ever average 50.4 PPG, 25.7 RPG ans 2,4 APG? No he didn't, I beleive Wilt gets that title. But seriously, Shaq really has dominated this era and is a great player. I do think it was a stupid move to trade him.

I have to agree with you here. Kobe has more potential because he is younger and is more atheletic. We really can't compare the two because they play different positions and have different playing styles.

1. kobe failed in his first try being the leader. But he started to show his leadership character late in the season

2. never trade a dominant center like shaq

3. just as kobe-hater sprang out when lakers lost, die-hard kobe fans also appear to blindly defend their idol as if he is a god. When the team wins, it is because of kobe and when the team loses it is because his teammates don't meet up to the expectation... Basketball is a team game guys.. everyone share the joy of winning and everyone share the responsibility of losing

 

Three things i learned. Is Allen Iverson and C webb together that mean this is over no body can withstand them. i learned lebron is about to be the youngest person to get 60 or more points. And nobody can get with KG he is a beast dog

 

1. I learned that many people who claim to know anything about basketball, watch espn sportscenter highlights and a couple games a season that are on tnt or espn.

2. Kobe Bryant is still the single best guard since michael Jordan.

3. Lakers are REBUILDING.

Anyone whos posted in this thread.....answer me this, whens the last time your team won a championship? 3 in a row? Has 14 championship banners? ....and lastly, how long did it take your team to go from the finals, to rebuilding back to the finals?

Anyone who knows anything about basketball history, knows NOONE has ever dominated while in their 1st season of rebuilding.

Oh and 4. The most insignificant people on the planet love to talk smack about a franchise who has 14 championships, when their favorite teams havent won a title in decades, if ever.
