Baldwin. Napiers shot is hands down better, but we have enough of that. We need lockdown D. Guys who get in stars faces. Not that Napier wont, but Baldwin already proved he can and will.

If we do keep baldwin, we HAVE to upgrade the SF backup though. Someone who can shoot.

'Want'? Shabazz is the better scorer and more accomplished player. Baldwin is the much better defender and potentially better all-around player....and will come much cheaper.

Outside of the starters, to me, Baldwin may have played the best game of the season of all the remaining guards in that game against Harden and the Rockets. Whether he can replicate that or not is to be seen but I didn't see anyone else on the roster have a game like that.

I think Stotts answered that question in the playoffs....

I want Baldwin, his versatility and size is something we lack in a backup guard.

If you're asking, "If you have to pick one to keep, which is it?" then I guess Baldwin just because he seems more defensively versatile.
I thought Shabazz showed improvement over the season and could be a super-poor-man's Lillard if Dame was out, but Stotts didn't seem to trust him.
Surely when other teams can find players like Quinn Cook and Fred VanVleet, we can do better (e.g. JALEN BRUNSON!)

Is Napiers shot "hands down better" tho?

    Baldwin for sure.

Napier will be fine. He gained some respect around the league with his season here. Wade showed some defensive ability we haven't seen from a guard in a long time. Spend the summer working with him and he will be getting plenty of minutes in both guard positions next season. Nice work Olshey.

I would keep Shabazz if he was cheap but I would keep Baldwin also. I don't think Shabazz will be cheap so Baldwin it is

Inconclusive, need a larger sample size before I'd take Baldwin over Napier.

Too many factors and unknowns. Depends on what Napier value around the league looks like.

I didn’t like Shabazz as much as others, his defense was ok, he was kind of a ball hog on offense, his shot was streaky at best. He had a good / decent run in January especially when Dame was out, but overall I wasn’t as impressed as others seemed to be. Baldwin has an incredibly small sample size, but I liked the defense, his shot seemed ok, and he didn’t seem like a ball hog.

Napier is a tough defender. He has also had more "good" games than Baldwin.
But Baldwin is potentially a better fit next to either Dame or CJ. So I would roll the dice with him.

More bad ones too, but a lot of that is sample size!

You know after thinking about it he was hot to end last year and started out good I think, or had an early hot streak but then was marginal at best the rest of the year I think.
And I agree with @TorturedBlazerFan. He dribbles too much.

Probably go with Baldwin, since he will be cheaper and I like his defense.
