The Blazers have been all about development, and Nas is no different. I look forward to his progress.
By the way. HCP, those throwback looks for CJ and Dame are priceless. Right back in time to the 70's.
Height isn't as important a measurement as weight, wingspan and standing reach as you don't play hoops with the top of your head. Little has legit NBA SF size in what matters. STOMP
6’6 in shoes, 7’1.25” wingspan, 8’.85” standing reach, 224 lbs Just for comparisons sake here are Jimmy Butlers combine measurements: 6’7, 6’7.25”, 8’.5”, 222 So Little definitely has the size.
He played one year at NC and did at times look lost on offense but some off the other 1 and done guys did as well. NBA has changed so much over the years with players coming in real young and and many weak on fundamentals.
college success doesn't always translate...see Adam Morrison and Jimmer Fredette. Long list of guys who had great college programs and success but couldn't hang with the big boys in the NBA....TRob was another....Royce White ..then second round picks or one and done college guys like Will Barton or first rounder Zach Collins come into the league and get it. There are some guys who are serious students of the game...others just want a million bucks and a disco.
Just to nit pick I think Height is fairly important. Height can really help with seeing the floor, seeing over defenders, changing your passing lanes. Id agree its not vastly important, but outside of Stockton, the best passers in NBA history are probably Bird, Magic, Lebron and Bill Walton, I think their height sure helped them see things, make cross court passes, etc.
Nash was a good passer, as was Kidd, Maravich, Thomas and I'm sure others. I don't know if height matters as much as skill and basketball IQ.
Nash had to run under the rim and probe and probe and probe, CP3 is a good passer too, I am not saying that height is the only factor, but I believe it helps.
I’ve got an itch to see Little get rotation minutes. Portland’s rebounding suffers when Whiteside is on the bench. Labissiere is a power forward that’s forced to play the five with Collins out. Little is an excellent rebounder and that usually translates. Stotts cut the rotation to 9 against the Spurs, but it’s still early in the season, so if there was a time to give Little a look, it’d be now. If Simons can get a look last year considering how raw he was, so can Little.
Labissiere looks lousy to me. I anxiously await the return of Nurkic and Gasol which will transform this team.
