I'm more okay with a developed Little at SF if Trent is at SG. Agree with @wizenheimer .....if it's Dame, CJ and Little, not thrilled.
Little is so far away from being a starter I'm not even close to thinking about that yet. Who knows how many years it takes for him to reach that level if he even does. Is CJ and Dame still the back court then? This hypothetical has nothing to do with the 2020-21 season, being such a long range fantasy I really don't see how it can even enter a discussion now. It like worring about what we do if Simons is making the allstar team and keeping him happy with Dame and CJ. Lets worry about these young guys being great starters when they first improve to become even an acceptable bench player.
How much more rounded....ESPECIALLY DEFENSIVELY.....would our team be moving CJ and Zach for a long athletic forward like Ben Simmons Dame Trent Melo Simmons Nurk is a decent defensive unit Gabriel Little good energy and defense off the bench
Not a dumb question. Probably super hard to measure, but certainly someone who can exploded more quickly would of be greater value. Interesting idea!
Primary starting 4s from Western Conference playoff teams this year: Anthony Davis Maurice Harkless / Marcus Morris Paul Millsap PJ Tucker / Robert Covington Danilo Gallinari Bojan Bogdanovic Kristaps Porzingis Carmelo Anthony Out of those 10 players, 7 of them are basically combo forwards.
Yeah, a lot of analysts, especially draft experts talk about second jump and analyze it while reviewing film. So they talk about how fast a player can jump again and how high that jump is. They should just add that as a drill at the combine. It would be very useful.
Was surprised when I saw him listed as a playoff forward as well. @BonesJones doesn't usually miss things like that.
Remember the rumors that the Knicks wanted him? There were many trade proposals on this board. The Knicks waited patiently.
Harkless is actually a free agent, Eric. Since you forgot though, he was a starter for the Clippers for a good part of this season, and then they traded him for Marcus Morris.
I didnt list him as a "playoff forward". I was listing the primary starting 4s that the top 8 teams in the West had this year, and Harkless was the starting 4 for the Clippers for a while.
Damn, I hope you are right. That would be huge for the Blazers. I am hopeful as well. got to love that 7.1" wingspan. He just needs to keep improving his range..... and it was getting better at the end of the season.
