Portland is 15th in Pace according to basketball-reference.com. 13th or 15th, of course, doesn't make a huge difference--and it's a big step up from where Nate's had the team languishing for so many years. The season, though, seems to have been a tale of two teams. The team early in the year had a high Pace (I think they were top 3 for a significant chunk of time) but has slowed down. Is the team's pace the only reason it's not winning? Of course not. Is it entirely predictable that Nate has gone back to the well of slowing the team down when things have gotten tough? Of course it is. Ed O.
Appearances are deceiving. My lying eyes say we're in the bottom 5 of the league. Thank you for mathematically proving that we are a little above average. Now if only we could stop getting blown out by early 2nd quarter every game by every team outside the bottom 5, no one would doubt your magic statistics.
