This is good news. There really isn't that many better options out there. Nate has done very well with all of the injuries. He has done some questionable things, but overall I support him.
Paul Allen pulls through again! Nate is a class act all the way and represents the organization well. Also, I believe players want to play for him and is a selling point to attact potential free agents. Portand Trailblazers (and Paul Allen) continue to show that they puts winning in front of finances. Go Blazers!
AWESOME! Nate is one of my local hero's for sure. Now that business is taken care of he can focus on winning a playoff series!
Where is that Kenny Vance fan who supported his statement from a few weeks ago that Nate would NOT be back?
where are the canzano haters who say he knows nothing??? vance also said Allen wanted to make a splash at the deadline.
Well it's only been over three decades since they won a title, so I'm guessing Blazer fans are OK with another two years.
Very good news. The yearly contract, while it may have made sense to both parties, did nothing for stability within the organization.
Lakers, Heat, Utah, etc. etc. would all be going after Nate if he didnt sign an extension with us. So those of you who are against Nate must have more knowledge about what makes a good coach then some of the best basketball GM's and execs in the world. We should be thankful for the job he's done and greatful that he truley wants to be a Trail Blazer for many more years.
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEET Another 2 years of exasperation. highest-paid NBA coach when signed, something like $5-7M per year... now becomes about $10M... 2 years from now, $15M... One of the better coaches in the NBA? Prove it. Win your first Blazer series...then do it every year. Sure would be nice, maybe BEFORE he gets the big bucks??
So, Nate is on board for the lock-out season, and the first year of the new CBA. Once the team has a chance to see how the landscape has changed, *maybe* we will see a course correction in 2013.
