Nate learned a hell of a lot working with Thibs and D'Antoni, Coach K and Pop with team USA...Nate was the defensive coordinator along with Thibs.....the biggest change I've seen in Nate is his work with younger players...in Portland he ran his vets into the ground and never played his bench unless he had no choice
I'd be thrilled to see Monty face Nate in the finals...never saw that coming...not sure the Hawks can pull it off without Young and Capela now though
This is why I was on the fire Stotts mid season train. Who knows what could have happened. But with Stotts the results were completely predictable. Maybe if we had fired him we would have turned a corner.
