Why do you always insult NateBishop3 like that? Who cares how he dresses like.

Also not shocking the "she asked for it".

A lot of high school girls want to be homecoming queen. Do all of them deserve vicious insults, death threats, and suggestions that they kill themselves? Or only this one?

For those who say she just wanted publicity (and therefore deserves abuse), do you have anything to back that up? Or are you just pulling it out of your ass to justify your ugly behavior?

Different situation. Most girls aren't nationally trying to get recognition for their achievement. If they did; they would be nationally criticized. In fact, many superstars like Amanda, Britney Spears, etc have had ridicule in the public eye.

You are just upset because it's to a fellow rainbow. I bet you can give a shit less if death threats were to a heterosexual female. I haven't seen you post about leaving Britney alone!

Nope. The issue is that women are subject to ridicule regularly. This is no different.

    Bullshit, magnifier.

I have repeatedly defended women and girls of all sexual orientation against threats of violence and slut shaming.

I still am waiting for evidence that she was out for publicity and did not just want to be homecoming queen like any other high school girl. You give none, just justify abusing her.

Unlike Britney Spears, she is not a public figure (although now she may be). Incidentally I oppose threats of violence or slut shaming of public figures as well. Criticizing a singer for a terrible performance is, however, in order as long as criticism is of the performance and not calling her ugly names.

Not just ridicule, hojacks. This girl was told she should kill herself. That is way beyond ridicule.

Guess you haven't paid attention to idiots that told Britney to kill herself. How about those that said they hope Madonna died for her support of the gay community? Shit like this happens all the time.

If you don't have the skin for public spotlight, then stay the fuck away from it.

Well, except this is a guy who has explicitly stated that he did this to make a statement and had posted youtube videos with hundreds of thousands of views documenting this entire ordeal.

Magnifier, I refuse to get sidetracked on Britney Spears. Answer the fucking question. You said other girls who run for homecoming queen don't deserve abuse; does this girl? Yes or no? You said she is trying to get publicity, what is your basis for that? Has she said so? Or are you just saying it to excuse shitty bigoted behavior? Which girls and women "deserve" abuse according to you?

So instead of changing what seems to be acceptable behavior, we should accept it or just avoid public spotlight?

Seems like the easier option would to not accept the behavior of death threats, name calling, shaming (etc).

She said she ran to make a statement. I think that qualifies as trying to get publicity, along with the YouTube channel.

That does not excuse how she's been treated, by any stretch.

Nope in both scenarios, all the fuck heads that say "kill yourself" or stupid shit like that are wrong. But to say this is only labeled because a boy advertises they are a girl nationally, is false. All public figures will be ridiculed and have assholes like these saying shit like that. None of it is excusable.

What I'm getting at is the moment you go public, you will get shit like this. Just like the Britney Spears or Miley's in music. If you can't take it, then keep it private.

Um I did answer the question, but your defensiveness to the rainbow clouded your observation. The girl or guy homecoming queen doesn't deserve the behavior, but both will get it if they go public.

You can say I sidetracked you all you want, but the Britney Spears is a prime example of a public figure "being a girl even" with the same fucking assholes saying shit like "I hope you die". I showed you this and how you find doing it to a rainbow is unacceptable, yet you don't go blasting on the people telling Britney to do the same.

I find this very contradicting behavior.

Exactly on both statements. What was said to him was wrong, but it goes with the territory.

I had an opportunity to get signed to interscope, even though it was development deal; there could of been a good chance we would be popular. I just had my daughter and I decided this wasn't the life for me. I didn't want to be public like that and have my child see assholes say things about my daughter's dad. I did that to protect them.

Simply put, if you don't want attention, both positive and negative, don't seek attention. Nobody made this guy make his YouTube video.

And if you don't want to be robbed, don't go out at night.

If you don't want to get raped, don't wear a skirt.

If you don't want to be set on fire, don't wear flammable clothes.

If you don't want to be hit by a drunk driver, don't be on the road.

Those are all pretty damn silly, don't ya think? Perhaps we instead hold people responsible for their actions. Just because Reggie Miller is a public figure doesn't mean he should have people yell the N-word at him. Just because Sarah Palin is an imbecile in government doesn't mean people should threaten to rape her. And just because a transgender teen makes a video and puts it on youtube doesn't mean she should receive death threats.

    How about assigning blame correctly.

No. More like "don't go for a walk in the ghetto"

No. More like "don't get drunk with a room full of rapest"

Close. Don't wear flammable cloths while fighting a fire.

    This was a terrible strawman

No I am fine with my statement and am not swayed.

What? I suppose if you went out at night announcing you were out, you'd attract attention, but what does that have to do with being robbed? What is this guy being robbed of, in reality? He's now on TV shows. He wanted publicity. He got it. I don't care either way if he won Homecoming Queen, but acting like he didn't seek attention is disingenuous of you.

    Stupid analogy

    Stupid analogy

    Stupid analogy

Actually, the only thing silly is to go on YouTube to announce your intentions of wanting atttention, to the point where people in Portland are posting it on a Blazer message board. The other things happen, unfortunately, but if you really think your stupid analogies are applicable, then it's probably time for you and me to ignore each other.

For two weeks, I'm not getting pulled into debates, just stating what on my mind and bidding farewell.

I'll stop in later, hope your evening is a splendid one.
