when I buy games, I always ALWAYS look for glitches. I love them. (in 8th grade years ago I was writing a short book, "the glitches of War Zone" , followed by it's sequel a year later, "the glitches of WWF Attitude! " ) I've found some so far- the dancers dancing DURING the game, and the players running through them as if they aren't there. Coaches walking into players standing on the sideline, but the coaches keep walking without moving anywhere. Brook Lopez caught a rebound and started vibrating out of control! And, a not so fun glitch- I tried to take the game online, but it froze on me
2k9 is a poorly crafted product imo. I won my last game in overtime by 7, but it should have been a blowout, if not for....Chris Paul, the alleyoop to Chandler, off Chandler's hands. David West, the oop to Chandler, off his hands. Paul, the oop to Chandler, off his hands. Paul, the oop to Chandler, off his hands. Stojakavic, the oop to Chandler, off his hands. Paul, the oop to Chandler, off his hands. Maybe I missed something, but I thought that Tyson Chandler was one of the best alley oop finishers in the NBA last year, not a guy who can't even catch the pass when he's wide open.
Yea, for some reason, the alleyoop is impossible in this game. I was able to connect on it pretty easily in 2K8, so I don't know what the deal is in this game. As far as glitches....I was doing the three point training with Michael Beasley. After one of the misses, one of the guys rebounding the ball got the rebound, but instead of passing it back to me, he started running around in circles for a good 20 seconds, single-handedly costing me that training session.
Finally won a game in my association, and that was after I switched difficulty from Superstar to All-Star, mid-2nd quarter. Managed to get a lead mid-4th and won by 4 points. I guess I'll be playing on All-Star mode for now. I also trade Mike Miller for Jason Richardson.
Has anyone played Live yet? I'm getting the suspicion that Live is probably better than 2k9. I think the worst thing about 2k9 is that there is no real defense in the paint against stars. What they did, was they found it was too difficult for guy's like Kobe, etc. to score in traffic, when they sometimes do that in real life, so they made it so while there is a defender there, the game just pretends that there is no defender there, for so many players in the game. If you take a dumb shot in traffic, it should be missed, not have the game act like there is no defense. They really dropped the ball on 2k9, there is so much wrong with this game.
The defense in the paint is horrendous...and the superstars in the league get whatever they want...like Wade hitting 5 three's in my last loss with a hand in his face at all times.
I don't really see the issues you guys are seeing. The superstars torch me, sure, but it's my own fault they do that. I've also managed to slow down superstars too, so yea, not sure what you guys' problems is.
Having K-Mart is awesome. One game, he wins me the game. Tonight, decides to hit a straightaway three pointer for no particular reason
It's not so much that they are out of control....more like superstars hitting every contested jumper. I mean they are stars so yeah, but come on, EVERY one?
I'm really having trouble with the pump fake and drive by....everytime I wanna do it, it makes my player RUN at the player I faked and when I try to make my running wider, it's too damn slow.
Spencer Hawes, Stromile Swift, and Mike Sweetney are outrebounding Yao, K-Mart, and Landry....sometimes even when I have position....*sigh*
WOW! First time I get to see an in-game injury and it's in the 1st quarter! K-Mart dunked it on Elton Brand and got the and 1, then Brand is holding his shoulder....random, I needed to get lucky lol
