My dream scenario would be to trade down a bit (SA for #9 & 21?)

    Get Eason @ 9
    Get Dieng @ 21
& get Terry with #37 (sign him to a 2way)

If Sochan is really 6'9 230lbs he might be the best switching C in the draft. I wouldn't use him there full time during the RS, but he becomes a tremendous defensive piece in the playoffs as a switchable smaller C.

For comparison, Looney is 6'9 222lbs according to the web.

I think Jeremy is getting overlooked as a small ball death-lineup type C. He becomes a backup small ball C (think Draymond) to Nurk as well as being able to guard almost all positions?

At what pick would you trade down? I'm guessing bit from the Top-4. If we fall to 7 or 8, would the Spurs moving up 1 or 2 spots be enough to get both picks?

    Not to0 bad of comp's.
Even if we need to trade up some to get this guy......

“He is a silent assassin, think Tim Duncan, think Kawhi Leonard” - Mike Schmitz heaps high praise on Keegan Murray, says he can be a Top-3 prospect in the NBA draft

Honestly, I like the guys in the 8-18 range better than the top 4

Portland likely won’t draft near the top. That pick will be traded to help us get to a first round exit next season, or traded to move down

I've really been warming up to the idea of Keegan Murray. He would be a terrific plug-and-play draft pick from the get-go in a position of need.

If we don't get a shot at Paolo or Jabari, I'd love us to find a way to get Murray. Even if we have to throw an extra asset in to get him.

    Couple things:

    1) He’s not just the best switching C in the draft, he’s the best “overall” defender and it’s not really close. He can legit guard 1-5. I do like Eason too, but honestly if you watch the two play defense… Sochan is much more versatile.

    2) Interesting. Don’t remember who but someone said Sochans comps were Simmons and Draymond.

Not to mention, Sochan is a LEGIT ball handler for his size off the bounce. He is just so bad shooting the ball that it’s hard to overcome that much offensive deficiency.

Another interesting comp I saw for Sochan was Batum.

Don’t really understand that comparison but that’s not too bad. Doubt he’s that kind of rebounder though. And probably better offensively than Rodman lol

Even a Zaire Williams caliber prospect would be nice.
