Kobe is the #1 scorer in my mind, his ability to just turn it on when he needs to is unlike anyone else. Only Jordan compares IMO.
I'd put him behind Wilt and Jordan if we're talking about scoring.... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Only Jordan compares IMO</div> and Wilt
Lol, some people will just never concede that some players are better than Jordan in different aspects of the game. How is Kobe not a better scorer than Jordan? His range is better than Jordan's range, his stroke is purer. His fadeaway is just as deadly, his driving abilities are just as lethal. They are equal, if Kobe isn't greater, in every aspect of offense except range on the jumper, which Kobe owns. Wilt shouldn't be brought into this conversation, he played in a different era of basketball, there are plenty more dominant big men now a days, I'd like to see his stats today, IMO they'd be average of a dominant big man. Kobe, MJ, Wilt on the scorers list.
Shaq is the only 7 footer in the top ten. More people would consider him the best of all time if he wasn't so damn boring to watch...

Jordan might be the superior scorer, but i think Kobe on fire is tougher to stop then MJ on fire. Dont get me wrong, when they are on fire, both are near impossible to stop. The difference is strictly due to range. When MJ is on fire, he will score at will on you 22 feet in and make u look stupid. When Kobe is on fire, he can hit from anywhere on the floor and make you look stupid 25 feet out. There's just no stopping him when he's on

What makes Wilt such a great scorer? His offense consisted of backing someone down and dunking or laying the ball into the basket. He didn't have a jumper, he couldn't shoot a FT, and his range didn't extend beyond the circle in the paint. Jordan is the only one who can compare. And even him, as stated by Mamba and NMG, might be as good. His range doesn't compare to Kobe's and pretty much anything he could do Kobe can do.

His stats were inflated due to an extremely fast pace (and probably lower talent level too but I don't need to go there).

Lastly, there are probably more talented centers in this era than the early 60's (even though you always hear about how there aren't any "real" centers left)... Many of the greatest centers of all time came after Wilt's Scoring prime.
